I am playing it. Picked it up from GOG. But I'm more into ADOM right now--awesome mix of text and ASCII.

I already have a large back log of games i need to work through i'm not adding another one to my list.

Also txt based adventure games are gettign somewhat out dated.

I'm too busy playing Trinity: Souls of Zill O'll to bother with Zork. Even when I'm not playing Trinity, I still have Sonic the Hedgehog(2006), Rachet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time, 3D Dot Game Heroes, Resonance of Fate, Cross X Edge, Jak & Daxter Collection, Devil May Cry HD Collection, Theatrythm Final Fantasy and Picross 3D to play.

Not including all the times I go back to play Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, Guitar Hero 3/Warriors of Rock, Skyrim, Oblivion, Dragon's Dogma, Kingdoms of Amalur, Tales of Graces f, Tales of Symphonia, Dragon Age: Origins, White Knight Chronicles II, Prince of Persia Trilogy, Sly Collection.

My gaming schedule is simply too busy to fit Zork in there anywhere.

Mostly because it's not 1980 anymore.
I love Zork; it was the first game I played, and instilled a love of text (and then graphic) adventure games in me that has never died, but I've evolved as a gamer, and, sadly, moved on.

I really enjoy Zork, I especially enjoy finding new and weird things to type that it'll actually recognize.

>Auto-cannibalism is not the answer.

Classic :']

Not sure I'd call Skyrim an "adventure game" though...

It's an okay game, I found to many of the puzzles to revolve around guess work and I could never get my bearings in text based games.

"You have just been robbed blind by that fucking thief"
"It's dark in here, you could be eaten by a grue"

I've got it on my computer somewhere, but I'm a bigger fan of the more modern style of text adventure.

I'm not playing it because I simply do not care to. Gaming has evolved to the point where we don't need to use our imagination to run games anymore.

Personally I'm not playing Zorc for several reasons:

1. I have sex with women sometimes.
2. I play guitar to crowds of adoring people at others.
3. I'm writing a novel.
4. It's not 1977 anymore, and things have kind of come on a little way since then.

Seriously, I played Zorc once or twice when I was in university and had the time to divulge frustrating time sinks, but nowadays I prefer my adventures big and spectacular, and if I wanted to play an adventure game like that I'd probably pick one of the Ultima series anyway.

Well, why aren't you? This is most fun I've had in an adventure game(s) since Skyrim, and it doesn't even have any graphics what so ever.
I don't want to be eaten by a grue.
