I like(d) James and he has an incredible range, but he just doesn't use it often enough. Especially in recent years, his range has sort of plateaued and stagnated in one state. I'd like to see him use more highs and lows within a single song.chromewarriorXIII said:I've always liked James LaBrie from Dream Theater. He's got some incredible range.
hell yes! Tom Waits is amazing. some of my favorite singers actually have very bad voices (Tom Waits (of course), Bob Dylan, Nick Cave (more his older stuff, his voice has improved over the years), Amanda Palmer), but they can still sing amazingly, and tend to have songwriting abilities perfectly suited for their voices. all of the ones i just listed absolutely haunt me.Housebroken Lunatic said:There's no voice like the voice of Tom Waits:

Why do I like his? Well because im fucking sick of the concpet that a voice has to sound "clear" and "beautiful" in order to produce singing that sounds awesome.
Good call!niege said:Must be Michael Poulsen from Volbeat
