I've actually figured out how to get all dreams to be lucid (I can control what happens). I can give you directions if you want them.

Yeah....When you say "I have NO dreams" that is pretty much assumed, I didn't need to hear that.


I have no idea why you can't remember your dreams, I have the opposite thing going, I dream every single night....and I often get shot in my dreams.

I think my mind is telling me to buy a gun.

One possibility is that you dream and don't remember it. Another possibility is that you don't dream at all, but that is not a problem - that is an advantage in life! that probably means that you don't really have problems (let me explain: by not having problems I don't mean that you don't have them at all, it's just that you don't take the burden of the everyday life in your dreams). this means that you are a very healthy person: when you live - you live, and when you sleep - you REALLY sleep! which is great, you have peace while you sleep, you don't recreate or relive situations from your daily life like most people do. Even the great Nietzsche said that sleeping is art, so if you don't have any other problem (mental/physiological), you my friend are an artist!

Lucid dreaming is a myth, I mean, it's real, but it's like saying "Oh I am SO OCD" nobody who says that is really OCD.

Dreams aren't always problems, often they are a processing and organizing of the day's events and your thoughts, everyone dreams as long as they hit REM sleep, it's about remembering it.

If he actually didn't dream at ALL, it's probably because he lacks a pulse.

there are two reasons often people cant remember their dreams an the second is what i suffer from...there are some people who's bodies actually skip the REM part of sleep that dreams take place in

Dreams aren't always problems, often they are a processing and organizing of the day's events and your thoughts, everyone dreams as long as they hit REM sleep, it's about remembering it.

What kind of pulse?
And organizing and processing is absolutely not a must when you sleep. The REM theories about it's affection on the memory are just theories with a lots of doubts about it, so it is not a rule. And that is a scientific fact.
And not everyone dreams as they hit REM sleep. That is not a rule either.

The average person dreams 1000 times a year so I think it unlikely that you haven't dreamt in 4 years.

AcApparently you actually dream almost constantly but only remember very little of what goes on, you mostly remember during REM sleep (which lead to the false conclusion that REM sleep is dream sleep).
I remember hearing that it's only physically possible to remember the last fifteen minutes of the last dream you had(which occurs once for each REM cycle)at most.
That's not true, there's research that found that subjects could remember dreams from Non-REM sleep but it was a lot less likely that they would remember. That's partly how they know you dream outside of REM sleep.

A couple of times I realized I was in a dream mid-sleep, and I couldn't wake up, I love it tho, because I can do anything.

Everybody dreams. The problem is a lot of people don't remember them.

Recently I've been having consecutive remembered dreams (so every night for several days now), which is rare for me. The highlights are always pretty odd. Not sure if there's some big psychological issue in the background, but I never remember my dreams, so I don't know why I am now.

I hardly ever remember my dreams, and one of the only ones I can remember was from when I was about 5; where I was killed by Pingu o_O

I'm not a doctor, but I'm going to go ahead say that you are dreaming, you just can't remember them.

The average human has between ten and thirty dreams every night, and the average human forgets approximately 95-100% of those dreams within minutes of waking up.

Generally dreams are just way too intense for the person to handle, so instead of making you remember all these vivid dreams you had, your brain tends to make you forget them.

Some people never forget their dreams, and some people always forget their dreams, and the average person forgets most of their dreams. It's just how it is.

You could try a therapist, but I don't know if that would work for you.

Also, sorry to anybody in here who's way more knowledgeable about dreams. I feel like I may have gotten some stuff wrong, mostly because I learned all of this from various magazine articles.
