But when you do that with ranged combat...I want to be able to aim and hit every shot, not miss because the computer does it for the lulz.Seasons of Bailey said:I'm not a sirimahobbit4062 said:Infamous, I LOVED the whole concept but the gameplay was sub par.
Dragon Age Origns, this game pretty muh has everything I ever wanted, except good combat!GTA IV? Too much content? You sir make me laugh.Seasons of Bailey said:Maybe having too much content can be a bad thing. I like GTA4, but I doubt I'll ever finish it. It does so many things well, I like the world and I find it complex and interesting, but, for the life of me, I just cannot enjoy it. Just not me, for some reason. The new Zombie maps were great, just wish one of my mates still had the game, its not fun with me and one other guy (Our team of 3 was EPIC).IdealistCommi said:Call Of Duty: World At War. I played it for a few months, but at one point, it was no fun. Zombies was not worth it with out the DLC, and no one played Ground War. I can not go back at this point, though I have tried.
What's the combat in Dragon Age like? Judging by game-play videos, it looks like MMO point-and-click style, which... well, sucks.
Developers, please stop putting MMO combat into single player games. Just because it's an RPG doesn't mean fights have to be boring. There can be a healthy balance between the character's stats and the player's skill. Just look at The Witcher.
I think you're onto something. Long stories are usually a major draw for me, but I think the problem is that it lacked structure and cohesion; I was never really sure what I was supposed to be accomplishing by doing missions, other than getting money and meeting more zany characters to ring me up. Even though there was an ultimate goal and a story, almost none of the game seemed to connect to it, unlike, say, San Andreas where you always knew what your goal in each stage of the game was.Seasons of Bailey said:Maybe having too much content can be a bad thing. nah i still did about half the side quests, well.. the fun ones anyway, the hunting was just mmo grinding... blah.. racing was fun.. rest where just smal skirmish stuff... i play real rts's like C&C and starcraft, BL's pseudo rts action thing just didn't appeal to me, it was neither a good action game or an rts... adn the exploring+ i have all those songs on my itunes, and the land scape was cool, but after i saw it all i lost interest... tekken 6 is a bit of a generic fighter but its good for killing an hour or two between classes, personally i prefer blazblue, but tekken is good for just mindless funimahobbit4062 said:So you just went ahead and did the main story missions, none of he side missions, bonus missions, explore the world to unlock stuff OR the Multiplayer, then you traded it in for a game with a cheap fighting system?Pink_Pirate said:brutal legend did that for me, i was really excited.. and once i got it i finished it in 4 hours, realised i would never play it again and traded it in for tekken 6 the following week
I think that pretty much sums it up. The first few missions are pretty fun/interesting, because there's actually a reason to do them. Niko's trying to work off Roman's debt, and, after pissing off the wrong people a little later on, he's trying not to get himself and Roman killed. Well first of all the game did start out badass, it was one of the most immersive FPS's I have ever played. But it just got worse because the movement is so god damn sluggish. The other thing that really ruined the game for me was just trying to memorize the controls because I kept confusing one button for another, but that may be just me. What I hated most was that there was so much god damn gunfire and every time I aimed at an enemy my shots were so damn inaccurate because all the guns have way too mcuh spray and it's hard to tell whether you are whitting your targer or not. The final straw came on this level where you and your allies find a turret and then you have to defend your position against waves of Helghast. Fuck no matter how many I gunned down I kept dying because you are exposed on that turrey. Basically it became a chore to just try and keep playing through the campaing so I quit. The online multiplayer wasn't so great for me at all. It was also ruined by the sluggish movement and cheap spawn points. To be hones the use of bots was kind of fun but I didn't want to keep the game.ResiEvalJohn said:I was actually thinking about buying KillZone 2 because I have a lack of good FPS games for my PS3. Do you mind if I get you started on why it's so "ugh"?SantoUno said:This happened with LittleBigPlanet and Killzone 2. The former was a charming and fun platformer, but for some reason I just didn't wanna keep playing it. And Killzone 2... ugh don't get me started on Killzone 2.
Hm. This is true.Chipperz said:There's your problem - it was a shooter with RPG elements, namely leveling and skill trees (and never attempted to disguise that fact). If you went in expecting an RPG that happened to have a few guns, you're going to get dissapointed.Vanguard_Ex said:Borderlands. Simply not what was promised and was damn linear for an apparent RPG.
I got dissapointed with and ended up turning off Peggle Extreme - the constant Half Life 2 images kept reminding me of how bored I was playing Half Life 2.
