Cartoon Network is digging it's own grave. All the cool shows like Johnny Bravo and Dexter's Laboratory are gone.

Oh yeah, the upside is CN created the greatest cartoon ever, SAMURAI JACK.
Yeah, they need to go back to the nineties cartoons. They were cool, stuff like Rocko's Modern Life, Aaahh!! Real Monsters, Johnny Bravo, cow and chicken, and all the great ones. Go back and find all the really good cartoons and they can watch their ratings sky rocket. Maybe even remake a few of the old ones.
That was the purpose of Cartoon Network in the first place, though. To play old cartoons. Rocko's Modern Life and Aaaahh! Real Mosters! were Nickelodeon ones as well, if I remember rightly.

In any case, I would love it if the channel would stop playing crappy 4kids anime and play some genuinely good material, like the good old days.
Really? Then Nickelodeon should go back to good shows as well. And I remember Cartoon Network being for old shows, but same as Nickelodeon it's all crappy stuff designed for idiots. Lots of crap, little good stuff, though you do get the occasional gem.
Avatar: The Last Airbender was a great and well-written show, but now that it's gone, there are no more new shows to turn to.

I feel for you; I really want them to as well. TVTropes has a page on this subject though.

Honestly, I think the last time CN was actually REALLY good was back in the day when they still showed Pirates of Dark Water and all those awesome old cartoons. They survived for a while with Johnny Bravo and Dexter and honestly Samurai Jack brought me back to the channel. Does anyone remember the ORIGINAL Adult Swim when they showed the badass adult animes like Gundam 0083 and Outlaw Star uncut starting at like midnight? The coffin nail though was when 15 episodes of DBZ a day became the standard. That was the end of it, and this is just its last blood-curtling screams. Let it die, world, just let it die.

Ever since Samurai Jack and all of the good shows ended all I liked Cartoon Network for was Toonami...now Toonami is no more. Now I hate Cartoon Network.
Cartoon Network needs to make a series like Avatar. They need to make something unique.

Go watch the more popular old shoes. The ones that could still attract fans, not the just plain weird ones.

That was just the worst example of nostalgia being a dick. Other cartoons it clouded over were: Earthworm Jim, TMNT, Gargoyles and a whole lot more that I wont repeat because I've said them over again I think...4 times now? Oh well. I'll settle for Harvey Birdman: Attorney At Law, Aqua Teen Hunger Force and Samurai Jack still being awesome.

Cartoon Network used to be awesome. I don't completely remember, but I think it might've started going down hill after they removed... ahh, I don't even remember the anime... The one with the samurai who use his sword backwords... they removed it after they cussed onced during primtetime, me thinks. I loved that show, but never got to see the end. There's a reason kids like to watch a ton of anime now...
Its Ruroni Kenshin

I liked it when during the day they had the awesome cartoon's, then they show toonami with Dragon Ball Z and crap, then Adult swim at night for Cowboy Bebop and Trigun. Now they have all those stupid shows, so really all i watch on T.V these days is AotS and House.

Chowder is pretty good.

And BTW guys, children shows have very short life expectancies.

Don't be so surprised when some show from the early 90s isn't around anymore.

They literally ruined dexter and stopped shows like Megas XLR... whenever I turn on Cartoon Network the most likely thing I'll say is... damn pressed the wrong button.

See, the people who grew up with all the awesome stuff (us) turned out great.
Look at kids these days, they're horrid drooling masses of... something. I was ill off school today,at half ten I flicked on the TV and 'In the Night Garden' was on, and parents these days wonder why their offspring are still commnicating in grunts and other animal noises at the age of 6!
