Cartoon Network isn't digging it's own grave. All the cool shows like Johnny Bravo and Dexter's Laboratory are gone.

Oh yeah, the upside is CN created the greatest cartoon ever, SAMURAI JACK.
isn't? you just contodicted yourself. and Samuri Jack is gone too. I miss it too don't worry.
That's for catching that, I fixed it.

true... so true. What Jetstream needs is a full catalogue of their shows. Just the ones from Toonami too. and the old Pokemon- once 4kids took over it suck. Just about the time ash got to Hoenn
They DID have a catalogue of all of the Toonami shows. Not exactly a "full" one, but at least it was there.

I am Weasel
Dexter's Lab
Megas XLR was awesome
I loved Samurai Jack
Courage the Cowardly Dog, although I do see that occasionally
I would even watch Ed, Edd, and Eddy from time to time.
why did they get rid of toonami, the idiots? Outlaw Star rocked! Ronin Warriors was good too.
the tenchi series
The batman cartoons, heck I even liked Batman Beyond
eh, nostalgia.

People say it died when Toonami died, but I say it died when they got rid of Tom from Toonami and replaced him with those...things.

animaniacs belong to warner brothers for a time. CN had it- then kids WB and Fox kids got it, then Nick. Speaking of Fox Kids- Who misses Beast Wars and Beast Machines? I know I do!

How about the old, old cartoons like Bugs Bunny and Tom & Jerry? Those used to be on all the time and I loved them.

Good point. That was also one of the nails in their coffin.

I agree 100% man, Ed, Edd, n' Eddy was one of the greatest shows CN ever put out. Samurai Jack kicks serious ass as well.

Cartoon Network used to be awesome. I don't completely remember, but I think it might've started going down hill after they removed... ahh, I don't even remember the anime... The one with the samurai who use his sword backwords... they removed it after they cussed onced during primtetime, me thinks. I loved that show, but never got to see the end. There's a reason kids like to watch a ton of anime now...

American cartoons suck now; it's like they all have to teach some kind of retarded lesson that should come as common sense. I've lost complete faith in almost all of TV as a whole, though. Only good channels are Comedy Central, G4(kinda), and a few bits of other shows. AS on cartoon Network, The Soup on E!...

Society sucks now. Pop culture is the worst kind as of yet. I really hope the next generation will learn a thing or two about competence or something...

I don't really watch the real cartoon network very much anymore just adult swim(ATHF RULES!), but the truly great days of CN died when the creator of Ed, Edd, n' Eddy stopped making the show(or the fired him) either way CN has gone down the crapper and it will probably never come back *cries*. I do really miss those great days.

I think the show you're thinking of is Rouroni Kenshin? That was a good show.

Anyway, to add to your list, TNT is alright for Law And Order.

I'm sorry to have to be the one to point this out, but it only seems crappy to us because we're, for the most part, old enough to be watching something else. You have to understand CN's standpoint here; They have to appeal to a demographic, specifically the pre-to-early teen set. To grab that demographic, they have to go with what appeals to them, and only them. In other words, we aren't CN's target audience anymore. Maybe back in the day, when CN was still considered enough of a niche, specialty channel to run quality animation exclusively, we were, but the fact is, CN's not a specialty channel anymore. Because cartoons can now be seen almost everywhere, it's become less a cartoon channel, and more a generic "kids" channel. From a business standpoint, it's the only way they'll keep their head above water when going head-to-head with Disney and Nickelodeon.

This is partially why Boomerang came into existence. While CN is off paying the bills by appealing to small children with half-hour bursts of frantic stupidity, hyperactive children and commercials coated in a half-pound of sugar, Boomerang is the go-to guy for sticking to CN's original message, airing real cartoons nonstop.

Unfortunately, the crappy cartoons make more money these days. That's why I'm going to horde DVDs of stuff like Dexter's Lab, Cow and Chicken, and Hey Arnold (I know it's Nickelodeon, but it's my favorite show from when I was a kid) so my kids can be raised on the good stuff.
Heh, that's the same reason my generation gives for stockpiling seasons of Thundercats and DuckTales. My son and I are both taking great delight in Samurai Jack...

*Attest*

Samuri Jack is the best show that CN ever made... the fact that he made an appearance in Fusion fall made me almost consider trying it

I did not though
