Honestly, it's more of a matter of switching the same motion capture data to the new model. Which isn't remotely difficult.SadisticFire said:Well I can't help but see all the "programming" issues. It would take hardly any time to program, just switch this model, to a different model. The real work is on the animators. Just sayin'.
That said, it's cause it would probably ruin the flow of the game, and then the modelers and animators have to animate it.
There's a big difference between sexy and sexualization. Giving impractical outfits to female characters for no other reason than so men can stare at the boobies falls into the category of the latter.m19 said:So the only way to not be sexist is to avoid sex appeal all together? That's ridiculous.
Does she have the jacket on for most of the game, though? Or is it some dress up DLC?Mr.Tea said:snip
Is there? "Sexy" has zero practical purpose outside of attracting the opposite sex.Sonofadiddly said:There's a big difference between sexy and sexualization. Funny that this has become what is "plain" to gamers. What I see is a lot of skin showing in a place that looks awful cold. If it was bright and sunny then sure, tank top makes sense. No sense made here. She would probably want a jacket.m19 said:Is there? Lara's cloths are perfectly plain. It's the fact she looks in them the way she does that makes internet justice warriors uncomfortable and want to cover it all up.
You're probably going to catch some heat for that one DXm19 said:Is there? And for this I thank them, lolVern5 said:That's an executive design choice placed into the game's Design Document.
"Criteria 11: The tits must be visible or at least identifiable from any distance."
She'd need a whole wardrobe, something for every environment then. Might as well ask why she doesn't die from every bullet wound.Sonofadiddly said:What I see is a lot of skin showing in a place that looks awful cold. And it makes me very, very sad that your only concept of "sexy" is to attract the opposite sex. Expressing sexuality is a complex act with many motivations, and part of the essence of being a sexual human being.
No. It's what people tell themselves. "I'm sexy for myself." All that elaborate nonsense stems from the same source. You raise your self worth by knowing you are attractive to the opposite sex, etc, etc.Fappy said:You're probably going to catch some heat for that one DX
Some people dress "sexy" because they just want to look cute/good/etc. For a lot of women it's more a self image thing than it is about attracting mates.
You mean, again?Fiz_The_Toaster said:I mean, would you wear something that has blood on it that isn't yours?
The question of the thread was "why doesn't she grab a coat from one of the dead dudes."m19 said:She'd need a whole wardrobe, something for every environment then. Might as well ask why she doesn't die from every bullet wound.

sexualization >> sexy. You won't get one without the other. Granted not everything sexy is physical.
There is nothing wrong with it when it's done within reason.
And now I have this image of Buffalo Bill and Lara doing that for warmth.Flatfrog said:To stay alive in a survival situation I'd skin a corpse and wear it as a coat.Fiz_The_Toaster said:Because there will most likely be blood on it.

Kinda weird really.
At this point she's probably covered in the stuff, so fair game, right?Zachary Amaranth said:You mean, again?Fiz_The_Toaster said:I mean, would you wear something that has blood on it that isn't yours?
Anyway, given Lara's activities, I'd be surprised if her own clothes wouldn't get someone else's blood on them.
