Confidence makes a woman sexy. And y'know, biologically, males aren't programmed to seek out sticks to screw. On the other hand miss, if your BMI is above 30, really consider dropping a few kilos - your health will improve dramatically.Srsly said:Oh sir, you made me smile.Pararaptor said:You do not know sexy until you've felt a chubby girl's hips. I apologize if I come across as chauvinist, but it's true.
Anyway, I use to think that about myself. But then again, hearing that I'm fat and I need to lose weight from my parents, other family members, dickwads on the internet, etc didn't really help. My boyfriend compliments me on the way I look and carry myself. I still hafta struggle with my self image, but I've become more confident in my skin. I can look in the mirror sometimes and just say "Damn, I look good today." So what if I'm a bit pudgy, I make myself look good in the process. Guys still turn their heads and stare, even if I'm not skinny as a twig. That makes me feel better. Course I wanna better myself, but I wanna do it for me. Not for the rest of the world to validate me. Hell, I even made my dad shut up when he told me and my mom that we need to lose weight.
"I feel sexy in my skin. I love who I am. I don't NEED to prove myself to anyone or you." And my mom agreed. It's been a long time since I had that much confidence in myself. But it's totally worth it.
Ok then, well can i ask you how many naked bodies you see on a regular basis, not counting those in the media?wilsonscrazybed said:How about instead pointless disagreements you give some evidence of why you think so, preferably in a way that isn't antagonistic or can be perceived as talking down to someone. /modStandby said:I'm sorry but i could sit here all day typing 'wrong' again and again but it still wouldn't get my point across.3.141592654 said:It's not the media.
The media caters to its audience. The notions of beauty we hold are maintained through the media, not generated by it.
I wouldn't call pornstars celebs as such, but let's just say that occasionally we find ourselves being held to large expectations.Echer123 said:They look at other celebrities penises and wish their penises were as big as theirs?AhumbleKnight said:"Why do all girls think they're fat?"
Why are guys so concerned about the size of their penis?
The answer to both of these questions is the same.
That is more what I had in mind. I am comparing the men's concern about their penis size with women's concern about their weight. Both, in the vast majority of cases, are baseless. For both we seem to be unable to , with the exception of a lucky few, stop ourselves from doubting our adequacy.BlueMage said:I wouldn't call pornstars celebs as such, but let's just say that occasionally we find ourselves being held to large expectations.Echer123 said:They look at other celebrities penises and wish their penises were as big as theirs?AhumbleKnight said:"Why do all girls think they're fat?"

(For the record, new research has indicated that, due to self-reporting-based "error" in previous studies, the average male penis when erect is in fact 1-2 inches shorter than previously believed. Tis all irrelevant anyway, the ladies prefer greater girth than length)
Confidence is seriously the most attractive thing in the world to me. Second to red hair.BlueMage said:Confidence makes a woman sexy. I couldnt disagree more. Men are under just as much pressure to be attractive as women, its just not as discussed. I think women are objectified more brutally in the media, but thats about marketing. There is a perception that guys are impervious to insults, so if you are a fat or skinny or short guy you cop alot of shit, because as a guy, you are expected to be emotionally bulletproof.JanatUrlich said:The man speaks the truth!space_oddity said:Because slightly more than half of all the women in the world are, and voice their disgruntlement aloud, and the the other less-than-half want to fit in, because the fat ones might eat them otherwise.
But no seriously, not all girls think they're fat. That's bullshit. But I think there's a lot more pressure on girls to be thin than guys. If there's a chubby guy, people are like "aww but he's cute", if there's a chubby girl everyone calls her fat
Unfortunately this world is not fair *sigh*
I guess guys are insecure about penis size and sexual prowess while girls are insecure about their looks and their figure
You are correct, which is exactly why, starting in September, I'm going to the gym twice a week to work on my abs and should muscles. Seriously.space_oddity said:I couldnt disagree more. Meh, i think in the end we are all our own harshest critic, regardless of gender.
