Why Do All Girls Think They're Fat?

Let's not get crazy here calling the OP sexist or a jerk. I mean, I know what he's talking about. If I asked my sister, my mother, my cousins or my female friends if they thought they were fat, the answer would undeniably be yes. Or, more accurately, "I don't know. There's this one lump here, and look at this belly, oh and my thighs..."

But yea, most teens are now are out of control about looks and how they act, I'm senior at my high school but I got stuck in a freshmen Biology class (due to my laziness the first time I took Biology), and as I sit there and listen to their conversations I have to keep myself from laughing.
"OMG, did you see here hair today? ewwww"
"I look like shit today because I didn't get my hair straightened"
"Ugh this shirt makes me look like a fatass"
"I'm such a fatass!! ewww"


I wish it was just freshmen talk but throughout the day I spend time with some sophmores, juniors, and others seniors, and I hear the same crap spewing from their mouths, I find it quite entertaining to listen lol.

I think you misread my post my friend, I never said anything about being different or special... All I said is that I think it's funny to listen to. I don't see where you got the idea. So either you misread it or you are trying to troll.

I was reacting to the tone of your post. Read it again and tell me you weren't essentially saying, "Teenagers are silly and stupid, except for me." Believe me, every one of your classmates is thinking the exact same thing.

Yea, you did misread my post, you might not have caught it, but in my post I never said ALL of them, I said I hang out with SOME sophmores, SOME juniors, and SOME seniors that do this, I never said that ALL the people I hang out are like this, just that SOME of them are.

I never used the word "all." You were responding to a post that said "most teenagers are [adjective]" with "took the words out of my mouth." But whatever, "all teenagers" or "most teenagers," it's irrelevant to the point I was making. Do you have a response to that point, or are you going to continue to miss the forest for the trees?

If you knew I wasn't talking about all of them why is it that you started this discussion with me in the first place? In my original post I said most teens have this problem, why is it that infer that I think I'm better than them and everyone else of my age? Just because I said that a know quite a few people that do this? I simply find it humorous to listen to such small conversations. I probably pull off some of these silly conversations myself every now and then.

meh. my friend says she's fat. she's 5'10 and 8 stone. (I've been trying to tell her she's not for years she's not but she just wont listen)

Meanwhile. I am maybe half an inch taller than her and I weigh 12 stone. So her saying she's fat makes me feel like a blimp (but i suppose, standing next to her, I am)

I don't think I'm fat, could shave a few pounds off but I'm happy with myself.

Although on a side note, A women on TV (well Mimi from Shameless) said "I'm a bulemic who can't stand vomit." I LOLed. I have also contemplated taking this on as a motto.

Most of the time when skinny girls say anything like that to me they are just fishing for compliments, which if it's one of my friends, I take glee in not paying them just to wind them up. Personally I much prefer it if a girl isn't a stick and has some curves to her. That doesn't mean she's fat just healthy.

They're screwing with her in the promos for King Arthur and her new Chanel ad, photoshopping some breasts onto her.

Now, Keira's obviously a natural beauty, do we really need to photoshop some jugs onto her, or is beautiful not enough?

You'd think out of all the women in the world, she'd be fairly happy with her looks, I wouldn't be surprised if she's now think 'you know maybe I should get a massive set of DDs, I'm obviously not attractive without them.' Two raisins on an ironing board isn't my thing, personally, if I hug a girl and the first thing that comes to mind is the xylophone in the music room at school, something's wrong (with me I think, with that analogy), but her figure is certainly popular enough not to need inflating.

It cheers me up no end when the press gets shocked by surveys and larger or not conventionally attractive women come near the top of polls, tho of course they'll never stop trying to sell us the 'prepubescent choirboy' figure as the peak of female sexuality.

Meh, A mix of attention seeking and low confidence. My girlfriend has quick low self confidence about her body because it has a few scars here and there. But all I tell her is that I'm the only one who ever needs to see her underneath her cloths and I already find her too attractive for my own sanity. So they don't all attention seek. (Oh and she is TINY waist wise, a bit too tiny, but she is healthy anyway. So I don't mind.)
