It's because they move it out of the way when they are drying them selves. Yes I know the water isn't on but those little drips are annoying.
Hey, one american did it, so we all do.nklshaz said:I think you may be confusing national custom with personal preference.

Have you EVER lived with Americans before? Actually, have you ever lived with anyone other than your immediate family before?SmashingTime said:I live in a flat in the city with Americans, and every time one of them takes a shower they leave the shower head twisted in an odd angle. When I go to have my shower in the morning I have to move it back into place prior to turning on the water, to my great annoyance.
Is this some kind of bizarre American superstition? Do they think that leaving the shower head in a sensible position gives bad luck, like walking underneath a ladder? Do only guys do it? WHYYYYYY IIS THIIIS HAPPPPPENINGG???
Ive been experiencing similar problems, there's this english person who decides that just because they know one person to have a weird quirk they instantly assume all people from that country do the exact same thing!!SmashingTime said:I live in a flat in the city with Americans, and every time one of them takes a shower they leave the shower head twisted in an odd angle. Strange, i thought that sentiment would have been on the first pageEat Uranium said:What idiot turns a shower on while standing within range of the water? You know it always comes out cold to start with, might as well turn it on and use the warm up time to get undressed etc.
Are they tall? I'm 6'2" and i have my showerhead like that so that i can actually wash my hair without stooping over.SmashingTime said:And it's not like these Americans put the head back in a slightly odd position where it is still possible to direct water onto the body; they fix it in impossible angles so that the head is point-blank perpendicular to the tile wall (i.e. stream directed at the wall).
