So you're not trying to knock down my "console gaming is simpler" point, you're trying to knock down a point that I didn't raise, in that console gaming is cheaper? I'm not sure what point it is that you're trying to make here other than if I really wanted to I could constantly relocate my PC every time I wanted to play a game.

Hmm? When did I say anything about the console gaming?? but if you want my opinion on console gaming you shall have it. Console gaming is probably simpler cause it's just "plug and play" but I prefer computer and that's a personal opinion.

First of all,i'm a pc gamer.

The thing that some pc gamers and some console players don't get is that this depends on Point Of View.
Console players get what they're used to so they're content.When pc gamers get what we're used to get (unlike the MW2) we're content too.

Now...When you look at console gamers you think they should be unhappy but that's only from your POV,not theirs.
When they do the same,they think we ask for irrational things,again,they're wrong because that's from their POV.


It's really that simple.Console and pc gamers should try to see things from a different perspective.

People used to one 'camp' think the other is wrong some way. As a PC gamer, I think that a lot of console gamers get screwed over all the time, too, such as with needing to pay to use online features on the 360.

Actually, that might be why a lot console gamers view PC gamers as elitists...

Although I am going to get an XBL subscription for a while to try and see if it's any good, though considering the way my internet is, I'll probably still be frustrated by lag problems, so no change there.

Sigh, this is the fucking reason why I don't play online in my console games. I play my consoles to play awesome single-player games (without the hassle of installation or space problems) as well as great exclusives.

As for those console gamers who play online, why do you hate them for being shallow? They play what they get and enjoy. What I don't get are elitists, who want more in gaming, even getting more than what was given to them. What I feel like saying to elitists are, "Not all PC games are like Team Fortress 2 or Valve."

first off, you are being an elitist prick. second i think people have tried to lobby for free XBL but Microsoft is so rich and greedy that they just gave up. and third, most of those problems you mentioned aren't really a big deal if you have the right connection. there are other games or game types to play than just 9 on 9. there are plenty of games i'd like to play on the PC but i don't have thousands of dollars to shell out for a gaming computer what with all my schoolwork and the main thing is, consoles are more of a group experience. you'd never hear someone say, "okay everyone, gander round the computer for a movie."

So, with the Modern Warfare 2 thing showing that PC gamers are going to be screwed over by A-titles from now on, or at least A-titles from Activison and Infinity Ward (that aren't WoW), us PC gamers have had the 'delight' of seeing what console gaming is like.

So, I have to ask, REALLY? You're content with this? A maximum of 9 vs 9, having the host be switched around left, right, and centre, having lag ampified because of the P2P connections...?

I mean, XBox live customers, you PAY for this stuff, so why is it that your service is worse than what the PC gamer IS getting 90% of the time? Why aren't you demanding a better service for your cash? Hell, why aren't 32 vs 32 games an option on XBox? Thats standard on PC.

I don't ask this to be 'elitist' like every other person on this website seems to think we PC gamers are, I'm asking because you're being given a poor service that you seem content with, even though there is a cheap, reliable fix for it (dedicated servers).

I mean, YOU are the ones who get to determine how good the service is you're paying for. PC gamers can't manage it anymore because we've been marginalized. So why aren't you demanding a better service? Especially on XBox Live where Microsoft don't have an excuse for not having them - i.e. you are paying a subscription charge for online play, so why don't they let some of that cash fund servers so you don't have to rely on laggy p2p networks?

ok... look... i am a 4 console player, and i personaly play each system for what it is, a pc?? for great RPG, MMORPG and some FPS´s (because me in Mexico everyone else i know dont touch a PC for gaming so i dont really go into multiplayer in that area) i get that the MODS are free, cool and great, but also are the cheaters and the amount of lag with Mexican internet makes it fairly closer to consoles that you would think

XBOX, i play it for my friends, everyone haves an XBOX (even if i dont really like games that kill single player for multiplayer like say Halo 3)

PS3, for single player games and exclusives, i like the resolution and the bluray wich i can never hope to achieve in my PC because parts are too hard to find at a fair price here in MX
