I don't get it either, its not like it makes them look attractive at all, it just makes them look like there is something wrong with their face.

Apparently it lets their "cheek bones pop out" and they consider it sexy.

In any case, they're simply trying to make their lips look bigger, feeding into the whole fishlips are attractive garbage Hollywood has been trying to push.

Because you'd tap that. XD [Seriously IDK, but it needs to stop].
I think pouty lips are pretty but not EVERYONE needs to have them.

It's just a filler expression that some girls like to use in photos to give themselves something to do so they're not just standing around doing nothing. That's how it catches on. It's stupid, but it's no less stupid than the Richard Nixon peace sign everyone does in Asia, or that horrible
"cutesy" facial expression that weaboos do to try and imitate Japanese models.

But yeah, it would be nice if they could be more thoughtful in their camwhoring, but it's hardly a new phenomenon.

I think it makes lips look bigger and cheeks thinner. Although I don't care about lips. One thing I noticed about girls, is they mainly try to look attractive to other girls, not to men. Sorry if this is an over generalisation, but it's what I've found.

when io look at people of my age and younger (25-), i can only come to the conclusion that stupid is the new cool, and a duck face does look stupid (no argument about that, i suppose)

You know what looks good in a picture? Smiling [http://pixdaus.com/pics/1213649228bk8r7Vj.jpg].

[sub]Is it me or is that girl I just found on the first page of results for 'woman smile' reeeeeally pretty?[/sub]
Yes she is. Be glad she isn't duckfacing. Seriously, if I saw a picture of my girlfriend doing the duckface thing (presuming I get a girlfriend), I would immediately break up with her.
Ok, maybe not, but I would be urged to.

Duckfacing combined with a random finger pointing to your face, the worst pose ever.

Sometimes works. Sometimes doesn't.

Nothing wrong with it, some people just tend to like that kind of face.

I just don't understand the sideways peace sign that keeps making an appearance with the duck-faces. Is it supposed to be a peace sign? Are they trying to represent a certain place? WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO THEM?!

Really, I'd just like to know who is actually drooling over the duck-faces. lol

YMMV, I have a friend who it really works for. I mean, 'Duck Facing' doesn't look too bad on her.

Duckface doesnt bother me nearly as much as the overwhelming amount of tongue curl pics, Mirror shots, and the HeadPoV pics. If you add duckface to those, that makes up what? 80% of all photos on social networking.

So moral to the story... Theres an abundance of girls who lack both the ability to take a picture and pose for one.
