Trust me dude, I was beaten unconscious by 3 dudes in front of 150 witnesses, and I was the one suspended, after that, I was suspended again when I was stabbed in the arm with a scissors by a kid who thought I was going to go on a school shooting. Some instructors ignored it, others encouraged the abuse, while the only 2 supportive ones recommended I leave the school.

After I was expelled for wearing a trenchcoat (after I was stabbed) I found an awesome "alternative school" about an hour away. That was probably the best thing that could have happened out of that situation. Everyone thought that alternative schools were just for "special education" kids and dropouts, but you should look into it. Best school experience ever.

My advice: Find an alternative school near you, or tough it out for a bit longer, and take solace that this kind of shit doesn't fly in most colleges.

This sounds like a very american archetype. Guys pull that shit over here they get held accountable for their actions, educations more important than winning the season or whatever.
Aren't you lucky.

The climb up a rope has been thrown out of schools in 2000 so that does not made a ton of sense.
Public schools, yes. This is a private school.

OT: That is unfortunate. If it happens again, threaten lawsuit again.

Take it to a lawyer and/or the Superintendent. It's their job to try to solve this stuff.

Also, try to find out specifically why they're after you, it's easier said than done but if you get targeted for some reason then try to find out why.

It seems to me that this really isn't your fault, don't blame yourself for the actions of others. I will also tell you that people treat each other better after high school. Sure, there will be pricks in the world, but the great majority of people grow out of their high school treatments and become normal members of society.

Just like you can be a jock because you are too stupid to devote your time to activities other than sports. Same think, doh!
OK no, I'm no sportsman but I can see a problem with that. You can't be good at sports instead of being smart, sports take ability and practice as much as any other pursuit. How many cases of 'jocks' beating on 'nerds' are caused because the jocks feel like they're not necessarily doing so well in class and know damn well what's being said behind their backs. That's why nerds get so much shit; they're not as good at playing the game as they think. They take pride in doing what they consider 'smart things' and dismiss everything else as unimportant or unskilled. Social and physical skills are just as important as academic skills and just as difficult, it's nerd arrogance to think they could do those things if they wanted to.
Ok you're mixing up different points here.

- Nerds get shit because they're not socially savvy
- Jocks get all the attention / girls because they are athletic (sexyyy!) and arent afraid to compete in tests of strength (sexxxxyy!)
- Unless a nerd has some kind of disability; he can do those things are jock can do, genetic traits needed to be at least acceptable at some physically exerting sport (like most jocks are, they're not olympic athletes) are not exactly rare
- A jock can't become a nerd; most of them are too stupid. Please go take an IQ test of all jocks & nerds at your local high school to prove my point.

Picture it this way.

Take the abuse till you get to actual "living". Jocks rarely get scholarships. Nerds make rockets.

Rockets which are very expensive.

They'll all be burnt out by College, I guarantee you. The "rich" school where I live has a higher crack rate then the ghettos around where we live. The kids are stupid as shit.

well I rang the bell and slid down the rope a little (because I didn't trust them for a reason) then about half way down the rope I let go and fell for the pad

the quarterback then proceeded to pull the pad out from under me and I hit the hard-wood floor with a loud thud

everyone laughed

I then lost my temper and garroted the quarterback with the rope (wrapped it around his neck and pulled tight) yelling that he would never do that again

then things became very serious; the teacher yelled at the class to "get him off of him" and well yeah you can see where things went
Well There's your problem. although to get this clear, what you did was "badass" and I as a porky awkward kid gut bullied to some extent so I've daydreamed of doing similar things. but the problem is that you accidentally let yourself become worse than the bullies, and I know I suck for saying that, but its true. Yes, they beat you and bruised over a long period. But no-one saw that, it wasn't harmless, but it was less "impressionable".

The best way is to show them who's boss without overstepping any boundaries. I once dropped a bully to the floor and punched him like a moron in front of the class BUT, not only did he not have a scratch on him to prove it, no one vouched for him, and the teachers never believed him. I got away scot-free.

Don't get me wrong, your school system is biased and broken. but i'm just saying that.... Strangling a guy with a rope? really?
I was just trying to get my point across of who's really at the top of the pecking order

and I'm more of an "evil genius" then a "nerd"
really skinny
always thinking
show no emotion most of the time

it's actually kinda funny

but the matrix jokes people make every time they see me with sunglasses on got old

...I blame your parents for sending you to a private school... any place like that is nothing but a "good ol' boys" club now.

This kind of thing happens at all schools. Jocks get away for it because they are the school stars. I know what they did was not acceptable but choking them with a rope was not the thing to do. When I was in school I when to a new school and I was bullied (not as bad as you so this might not of worked) so I found some friends and stayed with them and tried to avoided the bullies. Also I was (and still am :p) smart so I had advanced classes so I was with upperclassmen which were much nicer than the students my age. Eventually the bullies were no longer bullies and then only the occasional poke fun of was left but everyone is the butt of a joke every once and awhile. Did you really shut down a school sweet!?

My public school had a climb up rope and other rope activities as late as the 2004-5 school year.

Sort of

My story got out (heh heh heh) and a lot of kids left the school
they didn't have enough money left to keep both open
so they closed the K-8 school and put all grades (K-12) into the 9-12 school

as you can imagine

it was packed and they had no playground left

I can somewhat relate, at least to the part of being picked on.

I have red hair, Aka I'm a 'ginger.' So every Thursday (Also known as kick a ginger day) some prick jocks try to kick me and the teachers do nothing. They always say that they're just playing around. Though I did get them back today by wearing my shin pads to school under my jeans. I put metal on them, so when I went into civics class and they tried to kick me they nearly broke their toes. It was a good day.

Same double standards last 40 years my friend.
Raise the jocks up, keep the smart kids down.

Then again my high school year book had everything but football go to state, including chess and volleyball.

Yet they still gave them a one page color spread of their amazing defeats of 0-62, 6-56 ect.

Wow. That just sickening. Sure you attacked the kid, but I don't see how its any worse than him pushing those pads out from underneath you. I'm guessing either everyone there is a douchebag or the teachers and principals care too much about their precious athletics team to punish their "star" players. Since giving those kids their own lesson is frowned upon in American society (fucking eye for an eye I was I say) I'd say sue the fuck out of the school and the kids' families who were assualting you. Sure I hate when people make huge lawsuits about trivial things, but something like this doesn't sit well with me untouched. I demand justice (or at least balance) be served.

Thankfully shit like this never happened in my school. Either because the "jocks" were nice enough (most of them weren't really that bad, just caught up in their own life) or because my school's staff was pretty strict.

Either way. Point is, public schools don't have waivers or good ol' boys clubs. They're too afraid of lawsuits to let any kid get away with the sort of thing that was pulled on you.

Theories:

Strangling has more potential to be lethal than being punched (Unless the punches are done in rapid succession with extreme force)

There is a severe distinction in the morales of different social groups.

"If the majority of people are doing it, it can't be bad."

For what other reason would Germans have reacted calmly to the incredibly horrific treatment of Jews?

You don't seem like an especially social person, quiet kid in your class? People like you and I always have a stigma that crucifies every "weird" action we make.

Somehow I think you would have killed that Quarterback, I'm glad you didn't.

I just keep jackasses like that away from me by being an overly sarcastic sociopath.

LOL I bet. It would hilarious to see kindergartens and seniors in the same school.
