Why do PC gamers get so much hate

...because they're not--at least not anymore than any other gaming group. Just spend one hour on the gamespot forums and you'll see all-out platform wars where all of them are derided equally. As for the elitist thing, it's probably because either buying or building your own gaming rig is quite expensive. Also, PC gaming is a bit less social than other gaming. the consoles allow 4 guys or gals to get together on a couch and duke it out on one TV--not to say that a group can't bring their PCs together and get some good old fashioned AoE LAN going.

a pc gamer on the other hand needs a computer, a mouse, RAM, graphics, a game, minimum space on the hard drive, minimum specohforfucksakeimborednow...

plus irregardless of what people say (anyone who argues with this statement, you're lying) pc gaming is a fuck of alot more expensive than console gaming.

both of those make any pc gamers i know snooty and stuck up when it comes to talking about their gaming experiences.

I don't have anything against pc gaming. It's the pc gamers that start talking shit on anything that has to do with consoles that pisses me off. Seriously I get sick of people saying things like "Consoletards" or "Crysis looks better". I know most aren't like that, but there is a vocal minority that really get on my nerves.
