Now, that I got you attention with that weird question. How about you tell me why it got your attention, and why you felt the need to click on this thread.

Where you going to call me out?
Where you going to see what the hell I was on about?
Where you just curios?
Where you just looking for something to comment on?
Where you ingtrued by the title?

All these things can reflect on what kind of person you are, and what initially motivates you.

Yes I know this is a odd thread, but seriously, contemplate why you felt the need to click on this thread, think of your reasons and draw something from that, it could bring a concussion to how you are as a person, may bring something to light.

You never know.

Thanks for hearing me out.

EDIT: Why is there no "Pressed the wrong thread" option anyways?

I was sort of like "HOLY SH*T, I THOUGHT THERE WERE PEAR TREES, NO WAY!" and I got excited. Only to have my dreams torn down by none other than yourself.

I wondered if someone had developed a way to graft pear branches onto apple trees, since some fruits are grown by branches grafted onto other plants.

I clicked on the thread because, as far as I know, pears do not grow on apple trees. Additionally, I have never seen an apple grow on a pear tree. I actually assumed that one of two things had occured. Either, something I thought I knew about the world turned out to be false (happens all the time really), or someone had made a hilarious error and I could watch the thread burn.

I think it is hilarious you don't know the difference between 'where' and 'were'. I mean I can't give you the benefit of misspelling because you misspelled it 5 times in a row. Kind of makes me wonder if you actually do believe a pear grows on an apple tree.

I was driven by my curiosity. But I was also wondering what in the world you were on about.

Where's the poll option for "I knew the correct answer".

It's not that pears grow on apple trees (or that pear trees produce apples, depending on your point of view) but the species of pear tree Pyrus pyrifolia [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyrus_pyrifolia] produces round fruit the size, shape and colour of apples, and is commonly know as the apple pear.

It's just a tree that produces fruit that looks like apples but are in fact pears.

However someone could easily be confused and think that pears grew on apple trees, if they (mis)identified the tree by the appearance of it's fruit, and then tasted the 'apples' (which would taste like pears).

This. It just seemed so random that I wanted to know what you were talking about.

Also, it's "were".
