I was reading an article written by some bloke who claims that a Final Fantasy 7 remake is all but ineviatable and cites that a site called "Playstation Lifestyle" has inside information that SquareEnix will be announcing their intentions(for those interested I checked the site and no such thing was mentioned as far as I could see).
Now lets not get into whether or not Squeenix are/are not/should/should not remake FFVII. The interesting thing here is that the writer of the article then lists a number of conditions that he would ideally like the remake to be. One of these, and I believe this is verbatim, is "KEEP IT ON THE FUCKING PLAYSTATION 3!".
Now I don't understand this sort of rabid aggression. I could understand it if it were to be announced that it wasn't going to be on the PS3, but why get so angry that more people are going to play an (arguably) great game? As long as you get to play it why not share the joy? Why not band together as gamers to share the things we love rather than ostracize each other with needless aggression and hate? Can anoyone help me to clarify why some people feel this way?
