Look, I'll make this simple, this world we live in, is full with assholes who want nothing more than to think that everything that is not the way they like it, it shouldn't be there. I'm not going to even say if I eat meat or not just because as you said, "Yet at the very mention of vegetarianism, people freak out, and call them retards, and liars", I agree because if I said "I hate Chuck Norris!", how many retarded quotes will I get? Its because if I hate what they like they're gotta group up, and said the most stupidest things. But I could be wrong maybe I'm just a full of hate for the world, or maybe I'm right, either way it doesn't matter ignore them, and just find the voice of reason in you.

Everyone already said it. The so called 'problem' are not the vegetarians them selfs, but the ones among them that call whoever eat meat murderers.
It's a way of life. You have yours, I have mine and none of the two interacts with each other.
Although I believe it's odd to choose not to eat meat since we, as the human race, did not achieve this degree of evolution by eating vegetals but hey! It's your life. Go for it!

And that's the reason people don't like vegetarians. When they are mentioned, people automatically think of fanatical enraged forceful vegetarians who shout and call others murderers and little hitlers. It's just a misconception. Just like in the case of atheists, christians, Americans or any other controversial group that divides people: a small group of loudmouths make a bad name for a larger group.Julianking93 said:

As for myself, good luck to people who are vegetarian because they have more willpower than me.
I don't think it's so much the vegetarian, vegan or anything part of it.. It's the type of people who happen to BE vegetarian or vegan that like to thump their ways into people's faces because they feel they are better than everyone else for what they believe in. Because a lot of vegetarians and vegans are like that; when someone tells a person they are vegetarian they tend to assume that they are belief-thumpers.
I don't care who you are, I hate pushy people. As long as you don't try to convert me, and what you do doesn't hurt anyone, do what you want.
