Why do rpgs hate the 360???

I bought a laptop to satisfy my strategy and RPG needs. The 360 is a shooter-based platform, and the couple "strategy" games they have take no strategy at all.

I'd say the best RPG on the 360 is Lost Odyssey or Mass Effect. Fable II can go screw, Fallout 3 has the absurd 20 lvl cap, and Oblivion grows stale after a few hours.

Just stop replying - neither of you are right - both consoles have their own strengths and weaknesses - its all done to subjective opinion based around exclusive titles, economic factors and franchise loyalties.

I'm assuming you're a PS3 owner from what you're saying but you seem like you really want to play the above mentioned games. It's called console exclusives. The PS3 has some exclusive games that I'd like to play but I don't whine about it.

Yes, I do own the superior console, and yes, I am referring to the PS3 when I use the word superior, but we won't get into that!
I'd love to play Halo 3 and Gears of War 2...but in the end, PS3 owners will always have better exclusives- (Metal Gear Solid 4, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet to name a few) and will also have the better console.

I would just like to point out that while at the initial price the PS3 does cost more. However if you take into account he monthly charges you have to pay for Xbox live the 360 ends up costing more. Also is you want to connect wirelessly with the 360 you have to drop some where in the neighborhood of $80 for an adapter.

While I find the PS3 with it's overall design features more intuitive, I find the lack of long loading screens on the 360 less annoying.

Overall each system has it's own faults and strengths and I wouldn't hold either higher then the other. Both are good.

ok, first things first, I bareley understood that. Brush up your grammar. second thing, Kingdom hearts ISNT an rpg. third, Xbox has all the rpgs you could ever want - Mass effect (may I add, xbox exclusive) oblivion and fallout 3. all good rpgs...theres fable as well but that has very few items, a very small world, is really easy and well...is basically a fisher price RPG although it is fun enough. And in my honest opinion, Final fantasy kinda, well, sucks. The only one I ever got into was final fintasy X becuase...*Shrugs* although, ive played more recent ones and they suck as well...

Tales of Vesperia is a 360 exclusive, among others that come to both platforms and handhelds. So the 360 isn't completely left in the dark when it comes to the RPG genre.

RPG's hate this generation as a whole. The severe lack of them in place of FPS is really bad. It's the exact opposite of what has happened in years past.

Instead of getting tons and tons of RPG's and just about nothing other than really, really good FPS games you now get tons and tons of FPS with nothing other than a few decent RPG's.

Honestly, Heres my opinion: Xbox 360 > Ps3. and the ps3 is only expensive becuase sony are bithces and its been it for a shorter length of time. Plus if you want backwards compatability you have to shell out an extra $50+, Also, I enjoy the Xbox 360 exlclusive games, (No, im not a halo fanboy, theres more games than halo for the 360 >.>) Gears of war...Its popular for a reason >.> Mass effect. Bliss ^^. Crackdown, fun to mess around with. Anywayz...you only pay monthly for a GOLD membership. theres a SILVER membership that can play online in a few games/game modes, and you can use the marketplace fine. But I pay for the gold membership becuase, well, its worth it, Xbox live is really well done up. and the Ps3 exclusives, well, arent anything to brag about (Lbp, although fun at first and I admit...ok I love the map creator if your good at it, but it gets boring and embarassing.
dont even TALK to me about Metal gear solid 4. It makes me want to cough up blood. Killzone two, is well, an average fps. Although the large online play is definiteley a perk, this game isnt original at all. But yes, I admit, I like Lbp But If I want a ps3, ill buy one - I dont see the point, id only be buying a few extra games. Seeing as most games are for both consoles, and graphics doesnt really have a big difference, no matter what spoiled fanboys say, All id be doing is messing around in the LBP map maker...and finally, yes, ps3 is good, but I prefer the xbox exclusives and online play, and well, Seriously, I HATEZORZ the console wars, but hey, its fun to at least have a side. I think Ps3 AND xbox owners can agree that Wii only reigned for a month before both of us teamed up and pointed out its low graphics and gameplay capability, then beat it into the mud with sticks and dragged the body into a ditch. Rpgs dont need fast paced controls, and the Ps3 and xbox controllers are extremeley similiar.
