Yeah, this is pretty much what I was going to say. You're going to find it everywhere, and Tumblr's not the only one. There are jerks there, and there are also really fun people. You just have to figure out which is which.

Hipsters have really changed in what they are defined as. They usually do have these kind of nice items, but they hide it with fake glasses or other silly stuff... It's kinda the hipster way.
I have never been to Tumblr but what I know about it I learned from FJ, where I have been taught that they are hipster scum who repost lame stuff, so no reason to see them as superior to anyone.

It severely enrages me that vintage clothing is now associated with Hipsters. Like... my vision blurs and my head pulses sort of anger.

I'unno, I have a bit of a bone to pick with tumblr because of the way alot of it's users believe they created most memes (and how nowadays every douchebag with a camera and a tumblr account thinks they're some kind of incredibly gifted, artistic photographer. Sure I've seen some decent stuff from there, but you're not some kind of gift t photography because you put a sepia filter on every off-angle photo you've ever taken of friends at a night out).

Okay, I should probably know this, but who are 4chan's parents supposed to be? At least one of them should be LUE, but I don't think either one is.

Incidentally, for those who know their internet history, LUE is still around. You know that weird "End of the Internet" page that has a login box, the phrase "you have reached the end of the internet," and not much else? Yeah, that's the current incarnation of LUE. I am terrified to think of what goes on in there.

As an active Tumblr user, I shall defend my people.

You guys are all missing out on the point of Tumblr. It's a social networking site for people with the same interests (taste in music, hobbies etc) to gather and chill together. It's for everyone. It's a place for acceptance. It's a place for loseres to do something with their boredom.

Tumblr is supposed to be a place for awesome people to connect with other awesome people across the globe, make friends, have a laugh, help each other and just, yeah, find people who you can actually tolerate.
Yes, approximately everyone on tumblr hates society, school and every social act there is. Don't forget that even though it seems like every Tumblr user is baby-eating assholes who hates every living thing to exist, people all over the internet tend to get sassy and a little bit high on their own opinions when they hide behind a computer screen. What else is new, though?

There are so freaking many different users on Tumblr, so whomever you get in contact with will bring you a new experience. Just, dont get involved with the wrong people and you'll be fine.
(Also, complaining about hipster posts and their "art" is useless. It only encourages them to do more ridiculous "ironic" shit. Just ignore them and you wont feel the pain of stupid they bring, yeah?)


For me, Tumblr is a freaking awesome place to chill and get to know with other losers. Together me make an army of antisocial, people-hating, cat-worshipping losers. We never asked for anyone to understand our weird-ass minds, but please, join us. Together we shall worship and cry over the tv-shows, movies, actors and musicians we have so dear.

This all sounds like I come from a cult or something. I promise, there are some really, really nice people on Tumblr. If you claim Tumblr is boring, you are clearly doing it wrong.
