So what you're saying is... You're a bunch of rebels?

But seriously it's full of teenagers. That explains all of your complaints about tumblr. Damn teenagers.
Haha, no. Most of us, at least the people I follow and myself are a bunch of losers who likes to escape from stupid people and bullies from school who makes the week a bit miserable. It's not easy finding friends in real life, thus - internet friends sounds like a better plan.
Of course it's full of teenagers! Who else sits on their ass for hours blogging their feelings about tv-shows and bands?

And yeah, tumblr might be the home for hipsters, but the majority of tumblr users speak about them as the website's version of crocs and Internet Explorer.

Trust me, people in their 20's invented pointless blogging and being self important on the Internet. Teenagers are just less pithy at it.

As for Tumblr, fair enough. I was really just poking fun at your enthusiasm. Though I imagine the people you follow, and follow you, aren't representative of the whole Tunblr community. I've never had a Tumblr account though.
If I had to guess i would also say that the perceived superiority complex is due to blogging part of tumblr, which is inherently self important. Some people don't like that.
