I expect realism in movies, but that's all it is, realism, not actually real.4173 said:And yet poor actors are criticized if their portrayal is not suitably real, or if it is too obvious they are acting or if they are just playing themselves, not the character etc.zehydra said:It's boring, and it sells itself as reality. No, I don't mind movies based off of true stories, but I know that what I'm seeing still didn't happen, it's an attempt at recreating what happened.Teh Jammah said:So you never watch a movie that's 'based on a true story' then? Or one of the ones that claims to be the 'true story' of King arthur/Robin Hood/insert fictional character here? Man you must not watch a lot of movies.![]()
What about stables, cruiserweights and tag teams they're basically nonexistent these days in WWE. It's basically the same 8 guys rotating rivalries every year. back then normally singles matches were only for the biggest rivalries and or when it was gonna be a well worked match. Not to waste time with botches and squash matches. They use to change it up having tag teams, and or cruisers show off their skill to entertain the crowd. WWE can't write a decent story for a stables because the most recent ones fall apart within months even weeks of their creations.devilkingx said:thats every show in existance, only the good characters are ever shown(good usually meaning main)TheDooD said:I hate how it gone from a really fast paced unexpected product into something bland, predictable and overly kid friendly. I also can't stand how they only use like 8 people all year long while there's like 20+ guys in the back that only do dark matches and arena events. Years back everybody even the low tier guys got decent rivalries, matches and used on the main shows.
I don't think any reasonable person believes actual fights are a good thing, but fighting for sport is pretty harmless... Well, harmless to the audience.FC Groningen said:I have many reasons to hate it, but most of all, it glorifies fighting. No. No we don't. I think any wrestling fan above the age of 5 realises it's scripted entertainment. I've not met a single wrestling fan who believes it's real.Mr.K. said:Because it's a cheap gushing drama soap opera and nothing more, but mostly because 99% of the audience seem to believe it's real... seriously people... you aren't 5 anymore and here is a shocker Santa is also not real!
If you actually are 5 disregard that last statement.
You mean...Lord of the Rings wasn't a documentary on the origins of New Zealand?SaneAmongInsane said:Not only that, it's a stupid reason not to like anything. the big blockbuster movies we pay to see every summer? Guess what? That's not real
I thought it was real when I was 9...now I feel stupid.ReservoirAngel said:No. No we don't. I think any wrestling fan above the age of 5 realises it's scripted entertainment. ? Yes, i dislike violence and I managed to avoid any physical fight so far, but that isn't relevant here. My point is that IF you fight, you do it because you must, not for show.devilkingx said:...are you one of those people who thinks that all problems can be solved "non violently" by "using your words"? because thats the second stupidest thing anyone could believe, the stupidest is "world peace"FC Groningen said:I have many reasons to hate it, but most of all, it glorifies fighting. This is why I only watch matches online, I hate watching all the "drama" going on. I still watch matches if it involves a wrestler I enjoy, Mick Foley being my favorite. I also wished they would not zoom the camera in so close so you can see the fake hits the wrestlers make.AngloDoom said:Because I don't like soap-operas.
I can understand why some people like it, but I just don't.
