I'm pretty sure that this is the general reason people hate it.

If it isn't meant to offend then I really don't care, I have a Chinese friend who laughs and insults me back when I tell him to open his eyes. But that's only because he knows I'm joking, as I'm sure you were well aware that for them it was just light hearted fun between them.
But if I would never say the same things to a random person in the street, because it will not be seen the same way as if I said it jokingly to friends.

So you're against clearly very firmly against racism yet you still felt compelled to put in that bit of information, that in itself could be seen as a generalisation and racism.
Finally:
Until I got a friend from London on Live and I heard his friends talking like hillbillies.

Because that is the high road here...

pointlessness and completely un-productive, anything that doesn't advance our society i find absolutly pointless, and racism is just a giant leap backward.

I really doubt that all the people screaming the N word on XBox live are really racist. The problem is that the classic swear words, piss, shit, fuck, ass, **** are so overused in our culture that they have lost their omph. They just aren't shocking anymore. If you want to be shocking, you have to say the N bomb. Also, this is a form of rebellion against the smog of orthodoxy that hangs around our offline lives. This is something that you can be expelled for saying at school, fired for saying at work, or attacked by an angry mob for saying in public, yet online you can use the word with no fear of retribution.

tl;dr screaming N**ger on XBOx live does not make one a racist.

Hate is such a strong word...
Oh... and i don't really hate racism. I'm not for it, lets get that straight, but i don't hate it. Some times its true! Like Asians (and old people) can't drive... where i live 90% of the time its true
But my family history is based off of slavery so i guess i'm a little bit biased i guess. (American history lesson, who is Jefferson Davis =D) yeah hes my ancestor

You hating racism isn't going to help anything, only by stopping all hate can it be stopped. Hate begets more hate, it can flow freely from any type.

I don't hate racism. Xenophobia is natural. People fear the unknown, because they're ignorant and stupid.

Racism exists across the world. Any time you single out another race for any reason, positive or negative, that's racism.

Racists, on the otherhand, are the scum of the earth. People who blame someone's race first and foremost. I detest the blatantly stupid and weep for their numerous children.

From refering to Indian people as Pakis, to saying fucking retarded things like "we fight for slanty eyes" whilst playing as the Japanese on CoD:WaW.

This type of stuff makes my blood boil because it's just so stupid, it's pointless, which is to say, it has no actually reason to even be uttered.

I mean, the moment I heard that retard say "we fight for slanty eyes" I just wanted to yell: "WHAT THE FUCK DOES THAT EVEN MEAN?! You're just being insulting and mean spiried because you think it'll make you cool, right?! You fucking sad little ****, I'll beat you to death with your own severed 2 inch cock if you even breath in my direction ever again!"

What did I actually say? "Because racism is so charming..." Which was sarcastic, by the way.

You guys ever get like this? Why do you hate racism?
I like it as a joke (It has to be Funny)

but when it's just for the purpose of making yourself sound cool it is completely pointless
e.g.

When people call each other ****** (useally there not black and still say it) on a COD or any game lobby i am not bothered by the fact that they are saying ******

i am more bothered on the fact that they think it makes them sound funny,,,seriously
when racial disrimintion is put in a way where we can laugh about it it's okay
but when used for one's own selfish amusement then thats when were allowed to use the death penalty (we don't have to use it we just want to use it lol)

...Hate crimes against racists are good things: those people deserve it, and need a taste of their own medicine.
If I see a group of neo-nazis hanging out, or hear antisemetic comments and such, I want to beat these people to death. It's perfectly justified.
Hate crimes are hate crimes. Rationalising it doesn't change a damn thing (I'm fairly sure a neo-nazi beating up some indian kid has rationalised it's okay too).

Educate them out of it, or punish them if they ever act on their 'views', but don't sink to their level. That just re-affirms their beliefs...

Frankly I regard it with quiet disdain. In this big, cold universe that can and will kill us on a whim, all we have is our fellow man ... and yet we constantly alienate him. It doesn't just stop at racism. Same goes for emoism (if you'll pardon the crude coinage), sexism, homophobia, heterophobia (I bet it exists somewhere), and any other kind of alienating behaviour you can think of. The internet would constantly sadden me were I not acclimatised it it, since it is one of the primary breeding grounds of this kind of self-destructive nonsense

I do not find racist jokes funny, because I take words literally.
Please don't tell me to stop taking words literally, because I can't.

Just to restate: I don't like racism, I get angry (inside my head) when I hear said racism, I take things literally, so I can't tell the difference between "joking" racism and "serious" racism and I'm not the type of person to swear at or attack people (IRL).

And whilst I can't hate every racist in the world (not knowing every single one), I can hate the racist aspects of those people that I do know or know of.

Please don't go on about that angry inner-monologue I had, by the way. I put it in to emphasize my anger about racism, it's not like I walk up to people and turn red when they say racist words, constantly trying to bottle up my want to swing a shovel at their heads or something silly like that.

I just hate racism, savvy?

same here. Racism is just something to laugh at and I hope it never goes away as it has yet to stop being funny. Also freedom of speech means here in America people can use whatever words they want.

Freedom of speech also means I can say I'm anti-racism, of course.

of course. You can say anything in this country except for threatening the lives of other people (well you can say it but I doubt the police would think highly of it).
