Amusingly, I found it most prevalent in the upper classes. I've spent roughly 14 years in education, 7 in a private school, 7 in state, and I found the middle-class kids were far more racist.

I hate serious racists. But I have nothing against the occasional un-PC joke (except about the Holocaust. Those jokes are too far) or referring to one of my friends as a "whitey" as a joke. It's when people start actually thinking that races are superior or start acting out on racism that I draw the line.

It seems to me that Online, its less about actual racist beliefs and more about causing the maximum shock and outrage. Shouting 'niggers!' online, especially when I've seen it done, tends to generate a hell of alot of hate towards the yeller, which is actually pretty darn funny when you bother reading some of the incredibly violent and hateful responses it generates. It seems that alot of people have gut-reactions to percieved racism that are vastly overhyped, to the point of complete abhorrance of the supposed 'racist'.
And telling people that they shouldn't yell racist slurs online is only going to increase the rebellion factor.
But, ultimately being so anti-racist that you actually rage at people for mentioning potentially racist things is merely a reflection on yourself.

I'm against racism and i've actually had friends who've wanted to join the KKK, we fell out shortly after that announcement.

I think youre overreacting on this one. Making jokes about stereotypes is a good way to show how ridiculous they are and to shatter fears and doubts about differency by making it human and fun. My black friend telling a joke like: "Hey, have you ever thought about why white people win all the shooting medals and black people win all the running medals in olympics?" or referring Australians as "Kangaroo folk" is completely innocent and far from racism. We are taking these things far too seriously these days with all the political correctness bs and nothing helps like a good old joke.Booze Zombie said:
