Great! So people who have been taught from birth that black people are bad are totally justified,
Protip: don't be a fanatic about anything. I have no need to defend racists, as I am not a racist, but I don't have to totally agree with confrontational, irrational, and offensive language either.
You are a racist, you said black people are bad... I LOVE TAKING THINGS OUT OF CONTEXT

Racism is like stupidity, you can't hate someone who is stupid, just like you can't really hate someone who goes around declaring the usual silly racist stuff they tend to 'believe'.
Speaking of stupidity, you're hating on an entire group of people because of what they believe....
Agreed, the truely tolerent don't persecute Nazis, Racists, femenists, sexists etcetra. They don't CARE if someone is a racists, that is a sign of tolerence.

One of the reasons I find racism stupid is that people don't actually acknowledge how many races there are- by their ignorance they assume that a person with dark skin is the same as any other, etc, when in fact there are dozens of races within a skin colour- Polish people and Italians are completely different races, yet they're both considered white!
Not trying to say that racism should be smarter- it's one of the most ignorant outlets for anger I can think of- but it gives people who aren't racist a skewiffed (yes, British) perception of what defines race, putting even more people in the dark. Why should a few people have the wrong understanding of something as complex and diverse as race distorted simply because a select group of people preach their own beliefs on it?
I'll add to that. Why are people from the southern states of the southern USA (Remember I declare that Canada is the northern usa while America is the southern usa) called white? THEY ARE RED NECKS! RED DOES NOT EQUAL WHITE

I believe everyone is equal, I'm not overly zealous about it but I believe that everyone is unique themselves and that colour should not affect our views on them.
I believe every one is BORNE equal and no one IS equal

I hate racism so much because they hate others. The fact that those people hate others for reasons they consider justified makes me hate them so much. The only way to handle those people is to hate them and act upon that hatred so one day they will realize how much people hate them and go away.
Cheers.
Racism has NOTHING to do with HATE. It even giving poor sick Africans charity is racists. Because usually when people donate to them they don't think of the poor sick caucasians.
Racism isn't saying that one race is better than another... ITS SAYING THAT ALL RACES ARE DIFFERENT!.
It's like saying black people are black. A bit redundant but true and still racist. Or asians have thin eyes (depends on which part of asia though) is racist because it defines their characteristics.

I dislike racism for two reasons. One is because being Racist is a complete waste of energy and moronically backwards way of thinking. The other reason is people (like the op) who go MENTAL if they think a person might be saying something slightly racist, seriously the irrationally proportioned hatred of racism is annoying as hell.
The whole double standards (Dark skinned people can use the 'n' word but light skinned people can't, which in itself is racist because your acknowledging that what you are allowed to do it based on your skin colour) is slightly annoying too, but hey.
Racist jokes on the other hand, can be funny as funk. Most seem to have the right combination of 'funny' and 'shock factor' to just make people laugh like mad. Some can go a bit far admittedly and then it stops being funny, but within reason they're just dark humour.
I always get the feeling that people who are hyper-sensitive to racism just react so strongly to it because they actually have suppressed racist tendencies deep down. Going mental at actual physical/emotional bullying caused by race is natural, going mental because someone said 'paki' just screams "I have issues!" to me.
Decent post

When that was on the news I was completely appalled.
Appalled by how foolishly petty it was on the part of the accusers, due to the knowledge of how often FAR WORSE things are said regularly said, both in anger and in endearment, over there in military bases/outposts/etc.
I do like the term "Paki", it just sounds so funny, when I first heard the term the first thing that came to my mind was a packet of chips. It doesn't sound racist at all, it sounds misleading... I think the "I" in paki makes it funny.

I'm assuming you're looking for something other than "it's wrong".
I hate racism because it's disgustingly counter-productive. Holding something against someone based on their skin color, upbringing, accent, nationality, whatever...
It really makes no sense if you really think about it. These are factors no one has control over, and judging someone based on factors about themselves they cannot control is really ignorant.
It is based on an 'us versus them' mindset (which can be common on military bases, for that reason). I try to give a pass on the latter regard, because our soldiers are defending freedoms and when on base are actively in the "us and them" arena. Catch most of them with their families and they likely bear little ill will towards other groups.
Most racial issues today are misunderstandings, I believe. The bottom line is that all members of a 'race' are individually very different, and some are much more racially sensitive than others. When some things happen, the sensitive people take offense, turning it into an "us versus them" issue, and that draws in many who wouldn't otherwise really care.
I like Glenn Beck's notion of fighting racism: "Why hate people you don't even know? Meet them, get to know them, and let them get to know you so you can find legitimate reasons to annoy each other!"
Racism isn't necasarily holding people back it's also holding people forwar. (BTW nice Glenn Beck quote

For all of my hatred for racism, I don't actually encounter that much of it.
Until I got a friend from London[...]
I only had to read up to that point and already knew what you were going for. Most racism I see is coming from Great Britain. I don't know what the hell's wrong with them, but they seem to be the most racist people on earth. They've gone so far I don't ever play with Britons any more because I can't stand this shit any more. Funnily enough, they're the one's who shout NAZI the first.
What makes me hate it is the fact that it's just a simple excuse not to think - and everyone knows it's bullshit.
I hear ya, the give Arabs more rights than the British. (Or was I thinking of France?

You hating racism isn't going to help anything, only by stopping all hate can it be stopped. Hate begets more hate, it can flow freely from any type.
Nice line, quite poetic, did you write it your self or get it somewhere?

I don't hate racism. Xenophobia is natural. People fear the unknown, because they're ignorant and stupid.
Racism exists across the world. Any time you single out another race for any reason, positive or negative, that's racism.
Racists, on the otherhand, are the scum of the earth. People who blame someone's race first and foremost. I detest the blatantly stupid and weep for their numerous children.
I disagree with you, ignorant people don't fear the unkown because to them NOTHING is unkown, thus IGNORANCE IS BLISS
Tullio said:
There is no such thing as "homophobia". After all, why would you be afraid of something that isn't different? If it's simular then there is usually nothing to be afraid of

Hey, I don't have to tell the racists I hate their racism. I can just try my best to change their minds about the whole subject, but... it won't be easy, eh.

But thinks like "we fight for slanty eyes" aren't that serious. I mean in my opinion, its okay to make jokes between friends, and generally act like retards.
When you're actually discriminating against those races is when its an issue.

To me, racism is a reflection of our own vanity and selfishness. When people say these things, its most probably to feel superior, powerful, maybe sometimes even cool. And I wonder just how people can say these things and not feel bad or at least realize how much it hurts to others.
And yes, some people take it a little overboard. But these people's ancestors were slaves. They worked and worked, and were hunted. Its natural that they would feel like vengeance must be theirs.
And racism isn't just "Whites are better than blacks". Sometimes racism can stretch to "Blacks vs Whites" and have the exact same effect. Therein is solved the same way.
And yet, I long for the day when we don't have to say "whites" or "blacks" or "African American".
I detest the term "African America" after all, WHERE IN THE WORLD IS THIS PLACE CALLED AFRICA AMERICA?

another thing that would help drive back racism. Get rid of black history month. Nobody is special enough that they deserve a whole month dedicated to them and nobody else. It's racist against anyone who isn't black.

As long as he's not talking about Americans we're fine.
I'm Celtic, so I don't really care if Americans are mocked... predominately, because American isn't a race (natives excluded from that statement).
I'll take that as a mental note... Curry Munchers and Brits are the Americans got it.

I think it's stupid to judge someone by their skin color or appearance, things they can't control, when there are perfectly good things to judge them by (behavior, personality, etc).
If we can't judge people on their skin colour and appearance then how can we tell who is the sexiest?
