the term 'pro' makes me wanna slap the people that use it, knock off 200 IQ points and denounce any skill the person may or may not have

The Satyricon was a nasty prod at the culture of excess, using common knowledge for cheap laughs. Aristophanes' Wasps is a seris of silly hyperbolic characters doing overblown things in court. Your thread, devastating as its impact clearly was, isn't going to kill certain kinds of discussion.
I do apologise, I missed that point in your first post. I agree on that principle, the whole goth thing springs to mind for me, the lack of self-awareness is dizzying.funguy2121 said:Oh lord.
I didn't say it was.
I said that ignorant seem to proclaim their ignorance more loudly after.
Ever one is entitled to there opinion. Except you sir!Vampire cat said:Bioware =p.
Boy, gona get a lot of hate for this, I'm sure... Well maybe not, now that I said it...
Ugh, I love this post so much. SO MUCH. This almost exactly what I was thinking.SomeBoredGuy said:I can't stand people who consider themselves better because they don't like blank while the herds of so-called sheep enjoy blank.
You don't like it, big whoop. The people who enjoy blank are a lot happier playing blank than you will ever be feeling self-important for not liking blank, so get over yourself.
And yet it's attracted 3 pages of discussion..Ace of Spades said:It doesn't bother me that you don't like Gordon Freeman, it bothers me that you think your dislike is enough to warrant a thread. Congratulations, you don't like Gordon Freeman, which is a slight variation of the classic 'edgy' thread of "I didn't like Half Life 2" *cue audience gasps* I don't like a lot of video game characters, but that really doesn't have much discussion value. There are legions of people who think that disliking something popular makes them unique, when in fact it doesn't. Half Life 2 was a great game, and a lot of players loved it, and if you didn't, then that's your prerogative, but kindly stop broadcasting it, because we've seen endless amounts of threads with an identical sentiment.
I'd appreciate it if you tried to poison my internet in the future, because you've proven yourself as eloquent enough to be a good candidate for an online passive-aggressive argument.GunstarHero said:And yet it's attracted 3 pages of discussion..Ace of Spades said:It doesn't bother me that you don't like Gordon Freeman, it bothers me that you think your dislike is enough to warrant a thread. Anyway, since so many people are striking me from the 'would piss on if burning' list, I've reworded.
For the record, I know I'm not unique for disliking something, and neither are you for making a stuffy and pompous response intended to address me like a child. If my words bother you, read other topics. I'll try not to poison your internet in future, though.
If you're sincere, I appreciate that. If not, then.. Um.. Nyah?Ace of Spades said:I'd appreciate it if you tried to poison my internet in the future, because you've proven yourself as eloquent enough to be a good candidate for an online passive-aggressive argument.

Because it was the first big, mainstream JRPG - the game that popularized the genre in the West and one of the first to use 3D graphics in such a cinimatic manner. It also introduced a slew of never before seen concepts in games; killing of key characters wasn't very common during that era for example.Arontala said:OT: Final Fantasy 7. I don't hate it, necessarily, but I also don't get why it's regarded as the holy grail of JRPGS.
Because it was revolutionary.icame said:The godfather ( It had some good scenes and memorable lines but... why the hell does it show up on every best film list?)
It's much easier to spew hatred than to analyze a piece of media and explain why you find it appealing...GunstarHero said:I don't see you giving any explanation why you like these things.
