Why does The Escapist hate kids?

This is a little rant I had because when im reading forum posts its always kids being blamed for stuff. I am a kid myself does this automaticly make all escapistists hate me? No, So why is there general hate towards kids?

EDIT:Yes I was vague. I mostly mean the 10-16 age range who a defined as a bunch of whinning CoD players as all 10-16 year olds are lumped into this catagory. People can't seem to see that yes, I play fallout 3 which has gore, swearing and nuclear weaponry but I am mature and am not going to be a crackpot murderer because of this. It may be unacceptable for me to play granted but if I be mature about it I see no problem.

Just another thing i'll slip in is people say under-13's sound like chipmunks but I regularly get mistaken for being older than I actually am when playing outside of party chat.

If you behave yourself, know your age, and remember that you aren't ever as cool as you think you are (this is more for everyone, not just kids) then I'm ok with you.

EDIT: Also, Rated M for mature means 17 and up here in America. I realize that its only 15 in other countries, and that makes me rage. The ages are 13 and 17. Make that an industry standard.

How are you defining kids? What age are we talking about here?

The average escapist age is pretty young (18 or so) compared to the average gamer age (32).

So by some definitions the average escapist is a kid.

Also, what sort of hate are you talking about? Can you be more specific?

I think you need to explain your context more. I am sure not everyone hates kids 100% of the time. Even I like kids 8.3% of the time (mostly when I am running my own psychological experiments on them). I don't "blame kids for everything" either. So, please explain a little more in depth where this is coming from.

I don't think it's a general hate towards kids as much as a hate towards general kids, OR a hate towards the average behavior of a kid, which doesn't represent the in individual but the majority.

This does not apply to people who actually hate kids.

and this. basically, a very large percentage (i'm not going to be so full of crap as to make an actual percentage) of "kids" are so confused and angry and desperate to seem adult that they end up seeming more like whiney little babies with diapers full of shit giving them a rash. kids who act like reasonable, friendly, courteous human beings are fine in my book. over the years i've met some really cool kids while playing MMOs. but typically, those were kids i thought were adults by their behavior until i actually found out their age. they acted like real adults.

Who hates kids? I don't hate kids! I'm a teacher for crying out loud! Nah, kids can be irritating when they start getting on your case in a game after you may have had a bad round or something. I love the mute button for that.

We don't have Mature ratings over here, just the ages. Why would you care anyway?

Define 'kids'. Awkward teenagers? Self-entitled pre-teens? Young children who have no sense of responsibility or autonomy? Those blood-curdling maggots you call babies and toddlers?

I can't stand kids in any form. Babies freak me out, i hate to look at them if i'm eating out especially, and just look inhuman. Toddlers tend to screech at the top of their lungs. Young children will walk up to anyone and anything and try to grope it. Pre-teens tend to think the world should bow down before them and gimme gimme gimme. Awkward teenagers tend to be hormonal douchebags. I want nothing to do with it now i'm an adult, thank you.

Oh, and marginally related, pregnant women freak me the fuck out. I think it looks unnatural. That bulbous parasite expanding the body like that. It gives me shivers and makes me ill just to think about it and picture it.

So, ladies. Who's interested in a guy who's not interested in raising a family?

I think people get ticked off on here when some individuals switch to childish name calling and difficult to understand grammar.
I don't feel there's outright hate towards pre-teens as people who do commit the above crimes can be of all ages. I personally haven't seen anything spoken along the lines of childish attitudes for a while now really and those that do are swifty mopped up by the mods.

So I'll reiterate what everyone here is asking; what exactly do you mean by "hate on kids", such as examples of something they'd post perhaps?
