Why Does the World Think so Poorly of Teenagers?

I'm a teenager according to the agggge and I hate myself for that simple fact! ONE MORE YEAAAAAAAR! I also hate all teenagers around me because they are ignorant, uncaring, assuming themselves always correct, and being probably the most selfish things in existance! Sooner you realize all that, the sooner you can grow, the fuck, up.

Edit: Social awkwardness increases the lack of teenage idiocy! Sooner you're outside looking in, the sooner you realize you're better off completely outside.

Hmm, although I would like to think I haven't forgotten what it was like to be teenager (sucked, mostly)it's almost like there are some people out there that do seem to have forgotten that they were young once.

Really, the older generation (well, some of them) just like to have a good moan about the younger lot because well, of course they never did anything like that when they were teenagers. What makes me laugh though are those really young teenagers that act like such rebels (I've met my fair share, unfortunately). Come back when you're not still living with your folks and spending their money every time you go out and hang around the train station all day.

Personally, one could not be happier not being a teenager anymore. It may seem like a good idea at the time, but just...nah.

Maybe because almost everyone ages 23 or above think they themselves were retarded when they were ages 13 to 18. It's practically a fact of nature that we discover how stupid we were ten years ago. But ten years from now, we'll realize we were still stupid today.

Because adults need scapegoats for things like the drug problem, and teenagers are all "tabula rasa" as we all know very well, totally unable to think for themselves, totally unable to make their own decisions, always just going along with whatever someone tells them, never really thinking. And the image has just stuck because blaming younger people is easier (they haven't had time to learn what's right and wrong yet, after all) as opposed to either admitting the new generation on the whole holds different values than you or, say, the people making these accusations are in the wrong.

I find it ironic that some of these accusations come from far-righters and far-lefters. And Jack Thompson.

For me its personal experience. All of the teenagers that I have met face to face have been ignorant, sex crazed, violent, assholes. The only ones I know of that aren't what I listed above are on the escapist. (sigh) Maybe its because I live in New Jersey and people here just tend to suck.

Oh and the "shows" that are targeted toward teenagers make me think terrible thoughts about the creators and the people who like them who also condemn better shows like House.
