I often say "förvisso" (fer-VISSou) which is Swedish for "forsooth" except it has the air of the 19th century and literally means "That's true" or something along those lines. I also like saying "månne" "MONN-ey" which means "perchance".

After watching a rousing episode of "How I Met Your Mother", I have taken to saying "Kablammo" whenever anything good happens.

Also, I pronounce the word "nobody" as "no-body". All my friends think that's weird. They pronounce it "no-buddy". They are the true weirdos.

Pip-pip la doodily do I didn't make it up. Drake form Drake and Josh made it up. It's very catchy and fun to say.

Sleeping policemen? that right there's a weird phrase. I've heard em called speed bumps, speed humps, road bumps, and like sounding phrases, but never Sleeping policemen. Even if sleeping policemen was somehow normal for wherever you come from, doesn't it make more sense to call them speed bumps? They're bumps in the road... to check speed.

hahah, I just find it funny you used one weird word to lead into another, thinking the original was normal.
Yea, don't actually know why I used the term sleeping policemen. That's OLD! I think it's from when they used to be thinner and painted with black&white stripes. Think it's a Britain-only term as well.

"Pulchritudinous" - Great word. Works well on the ladies if you refrain from explaining it's meaning and make them look it up.

Posting 50 posts a day in these forums shows a lot of gumption, but highlights a serious lack of peer to peer interaction.

That's right. Gumption.

I use the phrase "pretty many" to describe a lot of something. I never really thought anything of it until people started asking me what the hell I just said.

Yeah, I pronounce it that way as well. And also, according to my friends, I pronounce "bag" and "pajamas" weird too. I pronounce it "paj-ah-mas" and it drives them nuts.

And "kablammo" is the absolute best thing to say in any situation. I salute you.
