Why doesn't anyone ELSE say that?

I often say "förvisso" (fer-VISSou) which is Swedish for "forsooth" except it has the air of the 19th century and literally means "That's true" or something along those lines. I also like saying "månne" "MONN-ey" which means "perchance".

Also, I pronounce the word "nobody" as "no-body". All my friends think that's weird. They pronounce it "no-buddy". They are the true weirdos.

Sleeping policemen? that right there's a weird phrase. I've heard em called speed bumps, speed humps, road bumps, and like sounding phrases, but never Sleeping policemen. Even if sleeping policemen was somehow normal for wherever you come from, doesn't it make more sense to call them speed bumps? They're bumps in the road... to check speed.

Yea, don't actually know why I used the term sleeping policemen. That's OLD! I think it's from when they used to be thinner and painted with black&white stripes. Think it's a Britain-only term as well.

Yeah, I pronounce it that way as well. And also, according to my friends, I pronounce "bag" and "pajamas" weird too. I pronounce it "paj-ah-mas" and it drives them nuts.

And "kablammo" is the absolute best thing to say in any situation. I salute you.
