He isn't. He just got suspended without pay by MSNBC for making private donations to democratic candidates for the election.

I don't think he's nearly as crazy as other people make him look. If you actually watch his entire show, he makes arguments but he actually backs them up with legitimate proof. Not like the sound bytes you hear of him mid-sentence saying something so out of context its ridiculous.

ITT:people spending time whining about someone they are not forced to watch.

Here is a suggestion, stop worrying about it.
True enough, except for when the fear and hate that he and his network spew incite people to violence.

So while we don't have to watch him or Fox News, we have to live in the world they're trying to create.

Also: in before political thread should go in political forum
very small example of Beck's poison, anyone who saw this and believes it's an isolated incident is not following the news enough. Read up on the recent attempt at Soros (much clearer connection to Beck).

To answer the question of the thread Beck will stay on air until ALL of the big advertisers pull out (there's been a bunch so far but he continues to get enough ratings that advertisers are willing to risk their name being along-side his).

I'm not really arguing the profit, I know he makes Fox money. It's just that the things he says have no basis in logic and are incorrect. Many have shown how his logic fails, but people still listen. I don't get that part.

John Stewart did a great parody of him yesterday.
the parody before that was way better, but holy shit he's a fucking gold mine of material.

Although, something tells me that Glen Beck knows he's being a total asshat, and is doing it for personal lulz.

He's what they call a "useful idiot", publicly lauding the ideals of the powers-that-be like some kind of dry drunk. possibly without realizing it, but that is really moot. what is important is that you turn the Fox Opinion Channel off, and you start letting it bother you that they proudly appeal to the lowest common denominator.

I've been living under a rock these past few months to avoid all the "political attack ads".

There should just be a warning at the start of the show "Warning. 80% of this is bullshit"

And he's still on because idiots will listen

It was a weekend suspension he is on the air. That wasn't the reason he got suspended.

You can make private donations to candidates as an MSNBC personality so long as you have permission from the network head. Olbermann was suspending for not seeking permission.

@Onyx Unlike Beck advertisers don't have a problem with having their name running along side his show. Even though he isn't the most tactful person in the world he doesn't poison the well and as long as he commands a good audience he won't be taken off the air.

He has legitimate proof that at 10 years old George Soros already was a economic force crushing workers and markets; and at 14 he was working with the Nazi's (even though his family was busy fleeing Germany?)

Fact check him and don't fall for vague connections. The PotUs doesn't share an ideology with every person who's lived in the same neighborhood as him, nor everyone who is his myspace friend...

yeah: "warning, 80% of this is bullshit, the other 20% is unintentional hate-speech."

Oh God! A crazy republican?!!? The only way to solve this is to call in all those fucking crack-pot liberals...

He's still on the air becuase he provides several valid points, is entertaining (well, until he gets a little too into his "the world will end tomorrow!!!" stuff), and people like to listen to him.

I'm not a huge fan by any means (more of a Medved/Limbaugh guy), but he has a right to say what he wants. And, frankly, in this time when 95% of the news/media is biased towards the liberal side, it seems pathetic to whine about one of the republicans out there.

yep Liberal bias...

In 2003 over 70% of Americans believed in a link between Iraq and 9/11
4/10 Americans still think Hussein caused 9/11

This is a liberal bias???

Recently the Health care bill was criticized for "Death Panels" the section this referred to was removed from the bill.

This is a liberal bias???

Please Ask for more examples I've got a good list by this point those are just the 2 easiest to relate to.

It like Colbert says "Reality has a liberal bias" and conservatives love to be the victims when the facts don't back them up.

Great, 2 examples, I'm overwhelmed

Anyone else remember when the media had a feild day with Limbaugh over the st. louis rams? Over a quote someone fabricated and put on wikipedia?

Or lets watch the Katie Couric interviews with Sarah Palin and Barrack Obama, and see the complete difference in the questions and attitude.

What happened to Juan Williams? Got fired becuase he said something republican?

How about that leftist green freak who held discovery hostage. We didn't hear shit about that, odd. Probably not becuase it reflects poorly on the libs

Anyone else find it funny that Palin's daughter is wide open for criticism, but when anyone said one thing about the Clinton's kids, we heard "It's not fair to talk about them. They're not the politicians?"

And don't get me fucking started on people like Michael Moore, Oliver Stone, or Al Gore...

Agreed, Glen Beck is a foolish politician who refuses to follow the common belief that Religion and Politics don't mix well. A living example is how our fore fathers WANTED separation of State and Church. Now the times of Thanksgiving are coming upon us and I DREAD seeing my family. ALL of them of Glen Beck and every time I leave the room to go for a walk, (It's the middle of nowhere. Walk or Glen Beck) they try and tell me the way the world works. However, Glen Beck's foolish political platform still manages to affect everyone around me in my family. A prime example is my cousin of 6 years old. He told me wants to grow up to be just like Beck. He hates Obama because Beck does, and throws around words like socialism and communism. Beck is turning the American people feeble-minded.
