Most of his views tend to be "Agree with me or you're a lefty liberal communist and anti-American." OT: Why is Fox hated? I live in NZ and have only heard numerous 'in jokes' by the Simpsons and Family Guy.

The Fox channel itself is fine and quite entertaining. Even the Fox local news stuff is quite informative. About as informative as any local news channels.

The problem is Fox News Channel. All they have are opinion pieces presented as news. None of them are real journalists. None of them fact check and when they are caught making a huge mistake they apologize on a hard to find page on their website, not on the air; they'll almost never apologize on the air and when they do it is always some snarky apology; something along the lines of, "I'm sorry you are unwilling to accept my truth." Watching Fox News is the same as watching the old guys at the corner store (do you guys have corner stores?) talk about current events. There are no signs of integrity watching Fox News. You get about as much news from Fox News by reading people's facebook statuses. Depending on your friends, you might get more news from facebook status updates.

It isn't just Glenn Beck, it is the whole channel. They twist every story to make it seem like everyone in the world hates the Democratic party.

From the fact that, as others have mentioned, he makes things up repeatedly to polarize people against anything seen as left wing, and tries to convince people that everyone from Obama to the entire Muslim world are out to get them.

Care to give examples of what he talks about that no one else wants to? What has he ever had to say that is so vitally important to society that no one else wants to talk about? I'd honestly like to see you give examples. And as for my opinion of him, you can assume whatever you like. It doesn't mean Glenn Beck isn't still a liar and an idiot, or that we aren't all a lot better off with him not confusing real issues with lies, misinformation, and paranoid propaganda on a prominent news network.

More popular perhaps, but I find the Daily Show much funnier, as well as generally better at satirizing the news and politics. Not to mention that while not being a serious program by any means, Stewart is far better in the interviews than Colbert.

I do have an example! He did a 2 hour history thing that detailed th Ukranian genocide at the hands of Stalin, and had testimonials from those affected. A report was done on these things to show that people have a habit of remembering what only effects them, and how murder can be forgotten by the masses.

Let me bring some non-bias into the discussion.

Left and right wing are two sides of a loosely-defined spectrum. Often times they are represented on the X axis, while statism versus libertarianism is represented on the Y axis. As one gets more left wing, economic freedom is lower and social freedom is higher. As one gets more right wing, economic freedom is higher, and social freedom is lower. Traveling up and down the statist versus liberatian axis determines the level of centralization or decentralization of government structure, with extremely statist being similar to totalitarian dictatorship, and libertarian being somewhat like the Holy Roman Empire circa 1500 AD.
