Gee I don't know. Why is Dr. Who popular? Why is Dexter popular? Why is pizza popular? Because a lot of people like it. Simple answer.
Ddescus was what!?
Actually the furries aren't too fond of bronies. lolCustard_Angel said:Although, the furry and MLP communities tend to have a large overlap.
I wonder why.
I watched the show, and I liked it.Adam Jensen said:I bet that more than half the people who say they like it, have never actually seen it. They just say they like it because they think it's a cool thing to say. It's not. It's a cartoon about ponies. There's nothing cool or interesting about it and they all know it.
I beg your pardon, "well-animated"?Thaius said:The result is My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, a well-animated, well-acted, well-written, funny, creative, friggin' adorable, and just awesome show.

Actually, the animation is one of the more often-complimented parts of the show. I'm far from the only one. The only reason it has that look it because it's flash-animated, but if you take a look at it in action, you see that it's incredibly well-done flash animation. The movement especially is fluid and detailed. It's good stuff, and say what you will, but I am far from the only person who disagrees. Heck, even when people see the show and somehow manage not to like it, their comment goes something like, "The animation's pretty good, but..."Housebroken Lunatic said:I beg your pardon, "well-animated"?Thaius said:The result is My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, a well-animated, well-acted, well-written, funny, creative, friggin' adorable, and just awesome show.
From what I've seen of it, the quality of it's animation actually has LESS quality to it than previous iterations of My Little Pony television series'.
This recent one has this ugly "random shit at Cartoon Network"-quality to it (kind of like The Powerpuff Girls or Dexters Laboratory).
Im not going to argue the other points, but "Well-animated" it is NOT!
Unfortunately, they do write incredibly awkward stories. Google "Clopfic". You'll see.Custard_Angel said:It's like the "furry complex" but at least these people have the decency not to make crotchless fursuits and write incredibly awkward stories about it.
That happens regardless, the internet's full of tentacles.hotsauceman said:Because people like it. That is all. Trying to understand the internet is like having a staring contest with cthulu. Nothing good will come out of it and you may end up Knee deep in tentacles.
A mere few months ago, I was in your shoes wondering why the hell a franchise for little girls was suddenly getting so popular. Then I got curious and watched an episode of Friendship is Magic. I wasn't too impressed. But then I watched another. And another. And another. And now, I'm this guy:Aerosteam 1908 said:I honestly don't know. I've never seen any MLP shows in my life. Am I missing a 'must see'? Constantly I see people's avatar as something to do with MLP than anything else, don't get me wrong, I have nothing against it.
I'm totally not sure if it's all a joke and people put a MLP avatar (usually a .gif) just for laughs. If it is a joke I don't get it. Maybe it's not a joke, maybe people like the show. If you do like the show, what's so amazing about it? Please educate me.
Oh, and what's a 'brony'?
Hell yeah!Lightning Delight said:I changed it because Fluttershy is adorable.
