I think all smartasses wanting to point out that it's neccessary for the human race to have a way of reproducing can stop pointing that out. OP obvious asked about sex as a way of enjoyment, and more or less why it's a center part of our world and social communitys nowdays. As a virgin myself I guess that's a intersting thing to know too, but if you just wanna say that "otherwise we're all gonna die hurfadurf", just don't. As long as humans have the instinctive drive to pass on the genetics to future generations, there will always be a practical need for sex. And the fact that humans are one of the few species that get pleasure out of it (I heard dolphins do too, who knows.) seems like a good deal.

I didn't "lose" my virginity until I was 19, and yeah it's not that important, you don't need to rush to have sex just because everyone else is, chill, relax, have fun, and someone will come along that's special who you'll have sex with and it'll be worth it, that's how it was with my ex. Sex now for me isn't that different, the stigma of having virginity is gone so it isn't really that important again, it's not all it's hyped up to be when you're a virgin and it's not all it's hyped up to be when you're not a virgin

Yes for the mere fact that it is essential for (most) species of Animalia to survive. There better be as much incentive to put your penis in everything that moves for the sake of your species. As far as I'm concerned the point of sex is to enjoy it. With the wonders of modern science, reproduction doesn't even need to enter into it any more, and the macho posturing surrounding the activity is also damn silly, it shouldn't define your identity or make you "a real man," if it does you need to re-examine your priorities in life.
