The Escapist has 13 weekly shows and non of them fall on Sunday? Why is there an avoidance on this day; is it because of its christian meaning? Is it because buildings might be closed on this day?
Hagrid doesn't get the concept of Sundays. You know who else doesn't get that concept?Andy Shandy said:There is one simple reason, which will be illustrated in this picture containing the late, great Richard Griffiths...

Honestly though, I'd guess that it's just because, even non-religiously, Sunday is considered a day to rest, for most people.
Well, to be fair, the staff who run the site (and/or upload the videos) would be the only ones who need to actually be around on the weekend. Most of the videos are scripted, recorded, edited, etc. in the week between the last posting and leading up to their actual posting. And I imagine that video uploading could probably be done by the tech guys even if they're not "in the office", as it were.Cheeseman Muncher said:I think it's because people with jobs tend to have weekends off.
It is, your spellchecker just sucks.Arakasi said:It's a shame that there is nothing on Sundays, as that is most people's "fuck off" day, there'd probably be a good opening for entertainment. (Also, why is "there'd" not an acceptable contraction?)

I've watched every episode!Copper Zen said:There are no religious reasons for the Escapist not to show new material on Sundays.
Given that Ashley Esqueda's new Saturday show Geekend Update [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/geekend-update] (which is improving impressively by the week) is getting so little love (if the views in the Featured Content are any measure) there may not be enough community interest to warrant a Sunday show.
Frankly, I suggest folks give Geekend Update their attention.[footnote]I still think she kinda looks like Megan Fox, though maybe that's just me.[/footnote] I enjoy techno reports like you find there and I can't find much of that stuff on TV anymore. Hell, the Discovery Channel and The Learning Channel have gone soooooo downhill in the last few years... *sniffles*
Show some love and maybe the Powers That Be will consider presenting new content on this site throughout the entire week. But that's just my 2 cents. I dunno what the Bosses think.[footnote]When I asked Paul Gruberman to hack Susan's private files his asked for price was too high. Kross, on the other hand, was so eager to do it I withdrew the request and backed away...very, very slowly...[/footnote]
I think that's more of a content thing than the day. A tech/science show is still a pretty niche thing even on a website like this, considering it's primarily gaming.Copper Zen said:Given that Ashley Esqueda's new Saturday show Geekend Update [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/geekend-update] (which is improving impressively by the week) is getting so little love (if the views in the Featured Content are any measure) there may not be enough community interest to warrant a Sunday show.
Some of it is that, indeed. But as the guys at Reel Physics [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/reel-physics] are demonstrating there's enough interest for such a niche to be supported.Phlakes said:I think that's more of a content thing than the day. I still say this to myself every Sunday. (v'-')7Andy Shandy said:There is one simple reason, which will be illustrated in this picture containing the late, great Richard Griffiths...

The Escapist does provide 13 weekly shows. Plus all the news articles. Surely they deserve a day off like the rest of us?Professor James said:The Escapist has 13 weekly shows
