Why is there so much swearing at the beginning of Assassin's Creed 2?

Umm, that's not a swear word, it's a legitimate term for that part of a girl's anatomy.

And while I remember a fair bit of swearing in AC2, none of it seemed excessive.

Does it really matter? I mean, sure it can annoy you but. An entire thread dedicated to the opening dialogue, which is a minimal amount of the game.

I was just seeing if it bugged anyone else. Apparently, I'm 1 of 3 people it annoyed! It stuck with me for a long time playing through the game before I forgot about it, kinda sullied the opening for me.

I understand, but I tend to bypass any stupid dialogue, I usually try and skip dialogue in games anyway.

Yeah, I mean who needs a story in a game?

I'm sure that was sarcastic but... I really only focus on gameplay. I'm not a reviewer and I'm not in it for story. I play for the gameplay.

Incidently, Left 4 Dead is one of my favourite games...

Honestly, the dialogue at the beginning of this game is so jarring that if I hadn't enjoyed AC1 I probably would have turned the game off before I even got in the Animus 2.0! It sounds like a bunch of kids who just learned to swear wrote it. Also, when Ezio speaks to his mother about chasing skirt she says "Apart from vaginas!" Holy crap that is the worst line I've ever heard anywhere. Who thought that was ok? Please, Ubisoft don't try and be 'cool' by dropping the f-bomb every sentence.

Are you just now starting to play games? Swearing is AWESOME.

You would have turned it off because people swore? Really? I didn't even notice, but then again, I swear all the fucking time. I'm quite happy they don't censor it here, to be honest.

The only game that bothered me with swearing was that first Max Payne and really, I was only annoyed by the lack of it. As much as I liked it, I didn't buy that hardcore mafia gangsters would use the word "freakin'".

Thankfully, the second made up for it by swearing a fuckton.

Is there? Sure I was surprised with Desmond and Lucy using "fuck" a couple of times, but other than that. And Ezio barely swears as well, just in Italian a couple of times which doesn't count because it's classy swearing.

I just could not take the swearing in District 9 seriously, the whole movie was in danger because of the South African accent, actually. Fook fook fook! Oh heavens, 't was funny. Luckily there were the Prawns, only because of them I felt genuinely, emotionally attached to the film.

i did not play the game yet since i am a pc-only-player...es...whatever. so i did not yet know that line...
