I really don't care that people swore in the beginning. From a design standpoint, people wouldn't be using the nicest of language in tense situations. "I say, I believe they gents are trying to separate us from our lives." "Well, tallyho!"
Okay, it doesn't need to be that formal, but it makes sense for the situation. It's just a word. If that ruins you experience than A. you have small children or your parents around, which is understandable or B. you hate swearing of all sorts. If you are case b, then sorry, but people sometimes don't use nice language.

I thought the line about vaginas was hilarious, especially coming from his mother
I agree. the look on Ezio's face was priceless afterwords and that line might be the best one to come out of a game this year.

anyway, yes, they swear more. if you where a normal person that suddenly had their family killed, was forced to became an assassin, had to kill hundreds of people to get to the men who did this, and have your mother just sit there all day, literally comatose, fuck would probably be the second most used word in your vocabulary(think how many times you'll have to yell "damn you" for dramatic effect).

You did not put the line into context.

Mum: 'You need an outlet'

Ezzio: 'I have plenty of outlets'

Mum: 'I mean besides vaginas'
Yeah, I was surprised he didn't find it funny. That line made my day damnit.
Me too.. Ezzio's mum is cool.

i did not play the game yet since i am a pc-only-player...es...whatever. so i did not yet know that line...

getting outwitted by your own mother AND in female anatomy all in one ...that is indeed divine stuff^^
Exactly... and therein lies the reason the vagina line is so great!

Definately reccommend giving it a go when it comes out on PC, although maybe read some reviews first as the first one was apparently a dodgy port.

thanks for the advice, i will :)

i don't know about how it played on the consoles, but i had the first one for pc and i had no issues at all...autosaving was moderately fair, i never had to play huge portions again due to dissolving in water, controles worked just fine, i could commence stabity-stab-slash-bonecrack-knifeinskullramming just as i saw fit, and that without a pad, just mouse and keyboard...maybe i missed out a load and it's waaay better on consoles ;D

Nope, it would appear I received bad info. It seems it was a good port after all.

If you had that much fun with with the first one, well you're going to absolutely love the sequel, as it improves in almost every aspect.

Woop!

It fits the context, they are in a rush, and very stressed at the time. Swearing is something people do when they are stressed out.

because using bad words is mature darling, just ask any six year old.
No, no not really.

Cursing makes you sound like a person who lacks real vocabulary.
Hey, I curse and I'm proud of having a rather large vocabulary compared to some other people I've seen. Plus, I think it was sarcasm... but meh.

I didn't really mind the swearing, I thought it was funny in a strange way (hurrah for bad senses of humor!) but with Lucy... I didn't actually think her the type for some of it, so it was a little bit of a shock and made me smirk a bit.

Uhhh... Who cares? If your playing Assassins Creed, than you should be mature enough to handle a few swear words without crying about it.

Because Ubisoft Montreal is just that badass.

/sarcasm. Honestly, the unnecessary swearing and INCREDIBLY unnecessary sex scene turned me off of that game very early on. Well that and how much the first one sucked.

Also, when Ezio speaks to his mother about chasing skirt she says "Apart from vaginas!" Holy crap that is the worst line I've ever heard anywhere.

vaginas is a dirty word?

I mean, there was some f-bombs iirc, but not that much.. Mass Effect 2 had about as much swearing.

but Vagina isn't a dirty word.
