People didn't like the first one, people wont like this one because of it.

I liked the first one to tell the truth, and cant stop playing the demo for the second one.
This, I agree 100%.

I loved the Singleplayer in the Demo, and I ESPECIALLY love the Fragile Alliance MP game. Though it's a bit laggy for me (cops teleporting, my shots not counting etc).

I also enjoyed the first game, and will definetly check the second one out.

Not really. I didn't like the original and well, when the only magazine advert I've seen of K&L2 is a rugged middle aged tramp in his pants slurping rice...yeah it's not grade A advertising...

I'm definitely excited for it. I didn't even play the first game, just the demo, but...I absolutely love the premise of the series. The characters immediately catch my interest, because they already have so much character simply embedded in them from the start. Even if I never have to go through some horrible game play, I'll have respect for the developers taking initiative, and giving the actual story some forethought.

From what I hear, Kane and Lynch 1 was largely critically panned [http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/xbox360/kaneandlynchdeadmen] by everybody who didn't go along with the bribe [http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2007/11/30/], about the only interesting thing it did was have an interesting kind of backstabbing-based multiplayer scenario (kill your fellow robbers when you think you can get away with it to reduce the take), and swear a lot.

Kane and Lynch 2: Yay, more mediocrity. Where's my Psychonauts 2, games Industry, or perhaps Viewtiful Joe 3?

I never played the first, I never heard anything about a sequel. What's to be excited about? :p

The first one didn't distinguish itself so nobody is excited about another one. Simple as that.

I'll definitely try it out, if for nothing more than the fact that all of IO's levels throughout both the Hitman series as well as the first Kane & Lynch have been really, really fun to play.

Seriously, they're doing it right.

The first game was very dissapointing, and I had to struggle to sit through the entire game just to say I had finished it. I suppose a few people had the same problem, so there's no real reason for us to get excited for the second one.

This.
It's about damn time they made a sequel, seeing as how the first one was ridiculously, unbelievably awesome.

yes!
A new Freedom Fighters would make me very happy.

OT: Well I'm not buying it mainly because of Gamespot basically firing Gerstman for giving a bad review to the first. The game was advertised heavily on the site, he gave it a bad review. Put two and two together. Also, when he was fired his review was taken down and replaced with a more favorable review. Since then I stopped caring about the game. And apparently the franchise as well.

So yeah, I want nothing to do with it. Ever.

I'm actually looking forward to it. I wouldn't say excited. I'm excited about Assassin's Creed III. But I am looking forward to Kayne and Lynch 2. I rented the first Kayne and Lynch when it came out because I wanted a shooter to play over the weekend that would entertain me while not making me think too much about it. And that's exactly what I got. But I thouroughly enjoyed every minute of it. I think all the people who say Kayne and Lynch sucks aren't taking it for what it is: a mindless fps good for 8-10 hours of stupid fun. I mean if we had fun watching pong for 8 hours at a time back in the 70s, can't we enjoy watching it now? Except that now the paddles are two men. And the ball is made of metal travelling at an extremely high speed. And when it hits the other guy he bleeds and falls over.
