Why isn't anyone going nuts from Golden Sun?

I am going nuts. I went "EEEEP!" When I saw the trailer. And I am a guy.

I'm pretty excited. I'm quite curious as to how they're going to handle everything now that Alchemy is restored to the world, along with the little tidbits of info that were revealed after the credits. What happens to Alex trapped under the mountain? What about the little piece of the Golden Sun that was put into Isaac to prevent Alex from gaining all of the power? I really hope they get answered.

Even if they don't I'll still be getting it. The originals were great games with fun abilities and a surprisingly good plot. Definitely can't wait for the sequel.

Did we do the right thing by unleashing alchemy? Will there be wars over its power again? Would it have been better to just let Weyard be eaten away by Gaia falls?
Stuff I have thought about for 6 long years.

It has been confirmed that the new golden sun story is based on the descendants of the Golden Sun crew.

Just what I was afraid of.

Nothing to be afraid of, to be honest. We know Camelot can deliver a good story, and they are pretty much obligated to make this a good game. For a relatively small studio Golden Sun is a huge franchise, and therefore Camelot's face to the world. Combined with Nintendo's pressure there is a really good chance that they'll go all out on this one. And what's wrong with a new cast? Golden Sun had a long story, told in two 30 hours+ games, so I can't consider some fresh faces a bad idea. And I'm sure the game will be crawling with references to the first two games.

Fresh faces are very welcome. I severely hope that these descendants are a few generations down the line, though. The Adepts' kids as the next heroes just sounds like bad cliche fanfiction. Call me cynical, but I've seen it written badly every time someone's attempted it.

Camelot are no amateurs, though. I'm keeping faith that if that's the storyline they've chosen, then they'll do a good job of it. Six years in the making won't result in a poorly-developed plot (I hope). I loved the first two enough to still be first in line for my copy of the game come release date.

After I heard the news yesterday i went to find my stash of gba games I keep in my nightstand and got pissed off because I forgot I lost the first game a few weeks ago. I now have to go to gamestop tomorrow in hopes I can find a copy for less then 20 bucks.

I don't know how big the Gamestop stock is, living in Holland and all, but I seriously doubt that. 7 years is a long time in gaming. You'd have a better chance on E-bay I think.

True, true. But it actually made me a little sad to see not a single Golden Sun thread after the conference. And a little dosis of crazy doesn't hurt once in a while, don't you think?

I have one request. if I slot TLA into my DS then at some point Felix (as an old man maybe with whitening hair) Sheba, Piers and Jenna become the secondary party. all as adults and all awesome.

If I slot in Golden Sun 1 I get Issac, Mia, Garret and Ivan.

If I don't I get a Werewolf Kid from Garoh, Eoel from Champa, the son of that couple in Izumi and Aaron as the Mars Adept.

Not only does this potentially make for "Holy Shit nostaliga" but also for "Holy shit new guys"

It essentially calls to play through 3 times.

I don't think there will be any direct relation to the werewolf kid and the other kids because it would be too predictable. Some new faces would be refreshing.

I remember when I first went up to get the game, I was choosing between Breath of Fire and Golden Sun. I can say I'm glad I went with Golden Sun, and it's always been my favorite GBA game.
