The reason I saw this in my school was because the guys tended to be very lazy and thus Language Arts was less work and overall easier than math.Ibanez887 said:Yea, Im insanely good at math, sometimes being called a human calculator, but I really suck at language arts
The weird part is, that in math there are more girls and in in language/English there are more guys
Maybe its just me, or Everything i different at my school
Unless your a christian. Then it hasnt been happening at all. BTW, evolution only works if it helps to pass on the genes, and i dont see how emotions would help women pass on their genes.Mozared said:Interesting topic, it's one I think about in my spare time now and then. I've found that pretty much any specifically female feature can be lead back to the fact that they give birth - which has essentially pushed them into the raising-the-child function which has led them to develop a less agile body but a better susceptability to everything that has to do with communication and emotions.
As to why guys are better in math... Maybe it's because men are more logical than women in that they tend to go straight for their target rather than trying to 'lure' others into giving them what they need to know (Yes "I am so fat!" ladies, I'm talking about you!). It's something I'll have to give more thought, anyway.
As a disclaimer: yes, I realize that single mothers aren't per definition "more emotionally evolved" than men or such. Obviously each person differs and not everything I'm stating there works right here and now. I'm thinking evolution, something that has come into being over the course of ten thousands of years.
