Why (most) people hate Vegemite

My brother really likes Vegemite and Marmite but I don't like it. I overwhelmingly prefer peanut butter. I love peanut butter.

I've never tried it either, although I don't like butter on my sandwiches either so I can't see me going for something too out of the ordinary. Really the only thing I like on my sandwiches are meat and cheese.

I have never tried Vegemite, but I want to. I have to order it online, because I can't even find any in the specialty grocery stores or aisles. I'll order a small jar of that and perhaps some Branston Pickle. See what all the fuss is about. ADVENTUROUS!

Both Vegemite and Marmite are awesome. In fact reading this thread has made my mouth water to the point of aching in anticipation of some nice thick toast with Marmite. Naturally, I don;t have any in the cupboard.
