Why not topless ?

I think it's a bit silly that women can't go topless. In fact, I think the whole nudity issue here in the US is absolutely pointless.

For example: You can watch a TV show that has vicious pictures of violence, people being shot in the head, sliced open, and it's rated TV-14. Now, if a woman shows her brest, it's a massive fine from the FCC and considered morally indecent.

Let's think about this. Seeing a breast is morally indecent, yet watching someone get their head blown off is ok for people 14 and up? Does this make ANY SENSE???

Its religion in general that prevents girls from being topless. Most Americans(Damn puritans) like to keep a false sense of purity and righteousness by claiming it corrupts the youth whenever they see women as they naturally are.

WOW! This is something i've thought aboiut for a couple of years now. It's part of my 100% equality thing i do. And yes, i think if men are topless, women should be too. It bothered me once when thre was a topless man on a TV ad, and i wanted to know why there was never a topless woman.

Personal feelings, I think its fine for anyone to go around topless. Americans in general need to get over the whole "anything sexy corrupts" kick we are on and stop being hypocritical. Movies are filled with sex and sometimes they suffer for it. If people were able to get used to the fact that skin is just skin, the entertainment industry might have to actually try instead of just have the promise of "boobies".

its not islam, in America we are still a center right nation despite the election of President-elect Obama, this country was founded by puritans so thats part of it and about 86% of us are christians and so many may find it offesive, as a hard right christian i honestly dont care but if i had young kids i wouldnt want boobs in their face all day, but thats just my .02$
