Unlike most people on here it seems, I like MW2 a lot. However loads of people(probably fanboys) are claiming BFBC2 is supreme. So what does BFBC2 have over MW2? I've watched some videos and so far, it looks good, but not good enough to make me buy it. I want details, not some guys telling me to just get it cuz it r bettr.

You shouldn't, it's as simple as that. When it's down to budget price it might get worth checking for the multiplayer, if bf-multiplayers are something you're into, but the game is by no means wort a full price.

Don't buy it for the singleplayer, the multiplayer is quite a lot better than MW2.

If you're into multiplayer, it tops Modern Warfare 2 in just about every regard.

Vehicles are present, maps are far bigger.
Teamwork is important (shocking) and you'll actually want to work together. Provided your squad isn't full of brain dead idiots.
The game is balanced as such - You don't have to be gunnin' fools down to get points.

I regret buying it. There's plenty of negatives about the way the game plays. Hardcore mode is infested with one-hit-anywhere-kills snipers. Regular servers have vehicles that laugh off rockets and ruin the infantry play that made FPS gaming what it is.

You just can't win.

Unless you like camping snore fest games.

And on PC- very few PB enabled severs and no shortage of cheaters. You'd think someone was giving hacks away for free.

I am happy with it, and I don't like war games usually.
Haven't touched singleplayer, the multiplayer is where it's at. It's pretty addictive running around with a gol sniper and some c4.

I actually found it the other way round. The single-player was really good, but the multiplayer was pretty crap.

i think you should see if a friend has it to try it, i love the game, more that mw2, but the multiplayer can either be slow or fast, just depends on you and the rest of the people in the game, im fine with it, i actually love it, but i can see how some people wouldnt, it all comes down to personal opinion, ya know?

Erm....

Two sides being presented here, so i'll try to be mister neutral. The single player is a joke, espically after the first one, but it helps get you to grips with the controls. It is worth a try, Even if nearly every joke is "DERP COD SUCKS BAD DERP" and the story is naff, but MP is where the majority of the game is. It's more about teamwork then COD, and using a mixture of tactics, to try and defeat your foes. For example in rush mode, I flanked the defending teams base, and blew up an objective, allowing my team to spawn in their base, and some other guys to charge in. Vehicles are also present and are properly used, unlike in WaW. The class system is easy to use, and the destruction aspect of the game is clever.

However, the game is one of those games which when going well, is awesome, and when your doing bad, is shite. Teams are all that matters here, if your up against an orginised team then you are going to lose. Even with the odds in your favor, you will lose. Noob weapons are now common with each class having a weapon you'll be killed with repeatedly. The perk system is bull, having been nicked from COD (magmum ammo is stopping power, end of) apart from vehicles where it works well.

Thats it really, off the top of my head what I think of the game. It's good, but I found COD more consitent with it's fun, and at least it didn't do a complete reversal of it's story. Seriously, try the first one. It had a fantastic story, much better then this one. MP was more fun too...

Get BC2 if you have a group of friends who like working together in squad combat. If you want to brainlessly shoot people, play MW2. Vehicles work nicely into gameplay as they will squash most people, yet a good engineer can take down a tank in a flash.

I'd say, rent it for a week to see if you like it. Then buy it if you know your going to get your monies worth of playtime/fun.

I know this is just going to come off as fanboyish, and completely ruin my point, but really, you have no idea what you're talking about. For one thing, RPGs will take out any tank with 3 hits regularly, or 2 hits with the explosive damage upgrade spec. And secondly, the battlefield series has ALWAYS been characterised by its mix of vehicle and infantry combat. If you don't like vehicles there are PLENTY of other games for you, but battlefield is what you turn to if, like me, you LIKE vehicles, and the diversity they add.

What i'm trying to say is, don't criticise a game for a feature that is part of what makes it popular amongst the majority of its fans.

...In America.

Sorry. Sorry.
I promised myself I wouldn't. -.-

I found the singleplayer to be quite good as well, if a little frustrating at times.

the singleplayer is short but fun (for me anyway)

for those calling the destruction bad, it's not like anyone else is doing it better

Destruction also changes the battlefield, and can shift the way a fight is going (one side or another losing cover)

Also, the 2 primary game modes in BFBC2 put a LOT more emphasis on teamwork than individual prowess. I'm really not that good at FPS games but I can more than pull my own weight by doing things that help the team.

Also there are plenty of PB enabled servers, just look. If you have active admins on, they can remove cheaters in addition to PB, so even if PB doesn't pick up a cheater, if they are really obvious an admin can ban them.

As I've said in another thread, I traded in MW2 for BC2, and it's the best thing I've done all month. MW2's multiplayer was only good at getting me annoyed, but BC2 is a hell of a lot of fun. More options, more balanced, less douchebags.

The multiplayer is sprawling and epic, as in the maps are huge and well designed, plus there's a crapload of players.
