Well I like halo.
The gameplay's great,the story's great,the multiplayer's great,the music's great.
What's not to like.

...so, the Elites and the Arbiter were a figment of everyone's collective imagination?Kanashe said:'Cuase Halo has the most undeserved prise ever, while it's just your simple FPS, with a story so flat, you might just forget bout it. It's a simple "Aliens sucks! Humans ruke" crap.
Alright, we'll play it your way. Let's abandon reasoning and turn this into a popularity contest.joobnook47 said:See, a lot of other people agree too. It deserves the hate because its one of the most undeserved praised games ever! Plus, the game is too popular.
I've seen a mid-air highjack of a banshee. It was awesome.DaBozz said:1 guy on foot gets run over by a vehicle...
shall I go into how the banshe can FLY, highjack that then =_=
A game without a long single player is only half a game.
Of course, the irony is that they are following a crowd when they do that.Havok985 said:Some people just like to make a big noise to convince others that they don't follow the crowd, and to get a reaction from the people who do enjoy it.
It's just one of the many forms of attention seeking that can be found throughout the gaming community.
Well, then they use a plasma pistol to disable it's engines. Or a power drain. or they could stick it with a plasma/spike grenade. Or they could use a missle launcher, or a missle pod, or a spartan laser, or a mounted chain gun. Alternatively, you could use one of your team's vehicles. I've hijacked a tank using nothing but a plasma pistol, and I've nabbed a banshee too, multiple times.DaBozz said:1 guy on foot gets run over by a vehicle...DaBozz said:Firstly, I'd like to remind you that Halo 3 at least has the most balanced vehicles in any game I've ever played. For a start, all it takes is one guy on foot to reach you and he can hi-jack you.DaBozz said:and of corse to that comment you'll reply "but the muti-player"
No...stop right there. remember goldeneye back in 1999, remeber how great the main game was,
how long it was...AND it had a great mutiplayer?
exactly, halo fails at single player where other (older or newer) games laugh at it.
and dont give me "but theres vehicles" mutiplayer sucks when it goes like this
Find tank, Get in tank, fire, win.
and as Yathzee said "halo is niot bad...its just run of the mill"
Secondly, why do people put emphasis on a certain part of a game based on their preference? You don't look at Team Fortress and Unreal Tournament and say 'feh, the single player is crap'. At least I hope you don't...

Exactly, it's an irony lost on them.scnj said:Of course, the irony is that they are following a crowd when they do that.Havok985 said:Some people just like to make a big noise to convince others that they don't follow the crowd, and to get a reaction from the people who do enjoy it.

Totally. Hit the nail on the head.scnj said:Of course, the irony is that they are following a crowd when they do that.Havok985 said:Some people just like to make a big noise to convince others that they don't follow the crowd, and to get a reaction from the people who do enjoy it.

Most people who bash it have probably never played it judging by some of the arguments I've read.Gormourn said:No, bashing religion has a point.Cpt_Oblivious said:Because Halo has far more fans among the great unwashed and somehow it's become the new cool thing to do, like bashing religion.
Halo, on the other hand, is just a generic FPS game that has SOME flaws, but most people who bash it probably don't know or care.
There was this one guy who stated it was a half-life clone. you just basicly proved my run of the mill comment right.Geo Da Sponge said:Well, then they use a plasma pistol to disable it's engines. Plus, it's hard for a scorpion or wraith to run someone over, and both can be annhilated by someone with the right weapon, as can a banshee.
Also, you seem to have ignored my other point. Not all games have to focus on single player. Not all games even have single player. You could just as reasonably look at an RPG and say it's half a game because it has no multiplayer. But that would be insane.
