I think that stopping power needs out too, I mean, how can you balance weapons when any of them can do 20-40% more damage (I cant't remember how much).
It's a 1.4x multiplier, so all weapons kill about 1 bullet faster (except the WA2000, which is unaffected by stopping power).
Thanks, it's been awhile since I was competitive enough to know that :p
I think that's just ridiculous, I don't know why you would ever use another perk (unless it's hardcore), just think about all the kills you barely get.

I agree with commando leaving as well. I honestly don't know why Infinity ward never updates their game.
Personally, the only thing I ever use stopping power on is the barret, and the intervention, so that I can kill someone with a shot to the gut. Outside of that, I always go with cold blooded. Kill streaks can't see you, you don't show up on UAV, you have no red name to enemies, and enemy cross hairs don't turn red when they are on you. Soo much better than stopping power.
The harder-core player uses CB.

Stopping Power is good until you learn that the enemy not knowing where you are is much better then anything else.

I play modern warfare 2 sometimes, but get turned away from it by the fact that there's no juggernaut. Some people claim that painkiller is a substitute, even though you have to die 3 or 4 times from stopping power just to get more health for 10 seconds. Does anyone else want juggernaut back?
Btw, I wonder what it would be like, being one of those badass juggies from spec ops.. :)
I always thought that would be an interesting kill streak to implement. After a certain amount of kills (lets just say 8, as an example), you become an armored juggernaut, with a giant health boost for about the next 45 seconds or so, but your health doesn't regenerate.
Dont take this the wrong way but god am I glad you arent one of the developers.

It will just be insane. On spec ops, it takes about 4 or 5 headshots with the .50 cal just to down, even with no regen, you could tank shotguns at close range. Maybe it would be just ok if you could not sprint so it rules out knifers (a knifer with jugg hp will just have an auto 3 kills at least.)

As with stopping power, guns are strong enough as they are, unless your aim sucks. All you need are a few hits and stopping power imo, does not really make a huge difference. Cold Blooded is a much more useful perk.

Not really. It was overused by people in CoD4, especially with snipers, who suddenly became impossible to kill even if you headshot them with the Barrett .50 calibre, which pissed me of to no end.

Painkiller is a good substitute, as it means that poorer players suddenly have a marked advantage over their enemies, but it disappears over time so one can't just die a few times, then go on a match-long killing spree.
So THATS why those jerks wouldn't die!

Well, think about it this way, it would be easier to kill than a pavelow, it wouldn't move as fast, and using it would actually put your own life on the line, unlike every other killstreak in this game.

Remember after all, Juggernauts are slow, and when using this perk, after getting a few kills, you would have to move under your own locomotion to the next spot to get more, all under a time limit.

When you consider those two things, it really doesn't seem quite as overpowered to me. I mean, it would be really good on small, close quarters maps, but horrible on bigger ones.
Hmm.... now that I think about it, it could work but, I wouldnt be a person that uses it because I doubt it would get as many kills as a pavelow, even with the risk of a stinger on the other side. However, I think you should get regen and the time limit should be 30 secs instead of 45. Also, you are not able to go prone.

How do you know the WA2000 is unaffected? Is there a wesite where you can look at detailed gunstats?

Because of people like me, with a shotgun, juggernaut and martyrdom...i was a room clearing machine.

And that idea about becoming a juggernaut, sounds cool. But in all reality...wait this game has none of that. A soldier running around in bomb gear wouldn't be invicible, in fact it would be pretty stupid...it weighs a shit-tonne, hot as hell inside of it, limited mobility, limited vision and hearing, the suit doesn't actually hold any pouches for ammo...etc etc etc. Plus bullets don't have to penetrate to kill, same with explosions; so no matter how much armor u have on, you can still die.

Out of the many things Modern Warfare did wrong taking juggernaught away was not one of them.
I hate killstreaks but the deathstreak idea intrigued me.

Why take away juggernaut? Why NOT take away Stopping Power? For a stealth player like me, Stopping Power is a slap in the face, because I can't use it while sneaking effectively, and it means that everyone I sneak up on turns around and kills me in mid-stab with a GUN! Because of STOPPING POWER! Or they snipe me with a SHOTGUN!! ARRRGHHH!!!!!!!

/rant.

Sorry, I really hate Stopping Power. It's so... cheap...*twitch*

Stopping power really only helps players like myself who like to use sniper rifles. Personally, I think if you're using it with any other type of weapon, you're wasting a perk slot. Machine guns have rapid fire for a reason after all.
Jugg did seem a bit annoying in WaW, since I could never get a kill with a rifle, but I found the best way to counter that was to have two people target the same person. There will always be perks that some people miss and other people are glad that they're gone. The only way to get the game truly "balanced" would be to get rid of them all, but then people would whine because they have nothing to brag about. It's a vicious cycle.

Juggernaught was removed becuase it was inbalanced and over used. Painkiller is great when you are getting spawned killed and can really help newer players out.

All the cry babies that couldn't deliver a good sniper shot started crying at infinity ward so they were kinda obligated to take it off.

Dude, in Juggernaut, you're now on fire, temporarily invulnerable, and get to swing around a big hammer of death. How do you call that "taking it away"?

Oh, wait, we're talking Call of Duty in this thread. *ahem*

I kinda miss juggernaut, but it would no doubt be annoying as hell when someone equips it alongside a pair of 1887's. Stopping power just makes the issue worse with them. I wish both would be removed.

Actually, I wish perks in general would just be forgotten. They too frequently unbalance games.
