. Poor story
. Boring action sequences
. Bland, unoriginal characters
. Unfunny, moronic jokes. (This point need reiterating - the jokes were appalling...)
. Far to long for its style
. The fact every line is a crap pun
. Poor music choices

Need I go on...(my opinion: do not quote me and ***** because I didn't like the film)

this is how i feel http://www.cracked.com/blog/storyboards-from-michael-bays-the-great-gatsby/

I liked the movie, despite of because most of the action reminded me of my younger days of banging my TF toys together until they broke.

I enjoyed it.

Let the people *****, I got exactly what I expected to see out of a michael bay movie, explosions, explosions, explosions, giant robots kicking ass and more explosions.

Simple question. Simple answer. It sucked. The only thing it had was a few action sequences. That doesn't make a movie.

I saw it today, saw the moviebob review yesterday, concluded it was a bit too "ranty" and disregarded it as a unhappy fanboy. Not ever being a fan of the originals (though I have seen the original animated Movie, was quite good), I gave it a shot.

Well, he was right. It's shit, I just felt like I wasted alot of time. And the "black" twins were cringe worthy. And the balls.... The balls...

Felt like the last 40 mins or so were "America! Fuck Yeah!" moments. Got a bit boring watching the Decepticons (spelling?) getting the shit kicked out of them by the army. Megatron included (he seemed about as useful as a wet turd in a microwave). Aren't Transformers meant to be more more advanced than us? Like, by alot? As in Independence Day alot? Hence the need to keep the Autobots here to stop us getting owned.

The IQ dropping "jokes" and god awful acting were painful to watch aswel. Disregard moviebob and other fanboys critiques if you like, but alot of regular joe's dislike it too. Hence all the hate.

If this movie had had the same elements, but a different universe that Transformers, it would have gotten a lot less attention and hate. People would just have brushed it off as another bad movie and moved on. But because it's Transformers, people expect it to live up to their glorified memories, as if anything ever could. Most claim that their childhood is being raped by it, but really, if can only do two things.
1) People realize that the original Transformers wasn't as good as they remembered, which is not the movies fault.
2) People still have glorified memories of the original Transformers in which case they should stop whining so much, get over the fact that someone made bad movies, and savor their memories instead.
Really, people just whining too much about something that they could easily just move on from. I catch myself doing it often too, but I usually wisen up and move on, which people should do in this case aswell.

Transformers is one of those weird movies where the parts that are terrible were nearly unwatchable and the parts that were good were awesome. The twins were some of the worst things I've seen in a movie and I have no qualms with racial humor, besides those two almost every other joke failed or was dragged on just to the point of losing it's appeal.

But the action scenes were awesome. I enjoyed every scene that had two giant bots trying to kill each other (sometimes with other bots). Which this movie didn't provide enough of to save itself in my opinion.

The generic unfunny characters( Those twin robots) were generic and unfunny.
They ruined a perfectly good ending with the "your the chosen one" crap.
The transformations took about half an hour each.

The only good thing was the action and Megan Fox.

They hate for two reasons
1. they are fanboys and starting with star wars episode one have decided to hate everything they used to like
2. they really like to be negative and can't enjoy some mildly funny scenes mixed in with shit exploding

notice the haters lack detailed reasons and petty complaints.

I disliked the first one for being juvenile. I suspect that the second one will be very similar, but I can always hope that I'm wrong. I'm probably going to go see it anyways, so I really hope that people aren't making a big fuss for no reason.

I went to see it knowing the storyline would be crap and all the other shit that I expect from a Michael Bay movie.

But I went to see it for close ups of Megan Foxes ass and giant robots. I could cope with the lame parts of the film.

Only thing that really got to me was the running length and the god awful back from the dead miracle scene of Shias character.

Also the Transformers cartoons were just the usual animated crap from that time, but as kid you think everything is awesome.

A lot of people, myself included, thought the story/humor was weak/stupid. I loved the action sequences, though. They redefined "awesome".
If "awesome" you mean "Put me to sleep" then yes it was awesome.

But seriously, I would rather watch a slow pan shot of two guys running across two separate building tops shooting at each other than any number of well choreographed digital giant robots exploding completely obscured by a camera with turrets syndrome!

Transformers just doesn't work in live action.

The script is a fucking mess all over the movie. it's a 75 million dollar Micheal Bay going bat shit insane on paper with actors and special effects.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that most people hate transformers 2 because it was an awful movie. That hate is magnefied by the fact that a good portion of those people enjoyed the source material.

For that reason, you don't hear so much about how God awful "Year One" was because nothing about that movie occupied a large number of people's childhoods.

And yes, I saw both movies.
Of all the people ever to go out on a limb you have accomplished the action the best :p.

At least from my experiences.

I think people just love to find something to hate about something that your supposed to love
supposed to love? why am I supposed to love it? some people love it, some hate it, some are in between.
Sounds to me you're upset that not everyone loves the same thing you do.
