You expected Transformers to be mature? Really? It was a silly 80's cartoon based on toys and you really went expecting Macbeth?scotth266 said:I disliked the first one for being juvenile. I suspect that the second one will be very similar, but I can always hope that I'm wrong. I'm probably going to go see it anyways, so I really hope that people aren't making a big fuss for no reason.
That can be applied to both sides of this issue. However, that is not true, as people on both sides have given detailed reasons to support their opinions.humanizer said:notice the haters lack detailed reasons and petty complaints.
He's right.xmetatr0nx said:When any thing that is near and dear to so many peoples hearts is exploited by the heartless movie studios people feel its their duty to protect it by hating the end result. Or people just dont have anything better to do than pretend like their dislike of something will change the outcome, and then of course blame the "stupid" populous for making it popular and a financial success. Thats my theory anyway, also people love to jump on the band wagon.
That's the best thing I've read all day. +1 internet to you for linking me to it.Leorex said:D_987 said:. Poor story
. Boring action sequences
. Bland, unoriginal characters
. Unfunny, moronic jokes. (This point need reiterating - the jokes were appalling...)
. Far to long for its style
. The fact every line is a crap pun
. Poor music choices
Need I go on...(my opinion: do not quote me and ***** because I didn't like the film)

This pretty much sums up my attitude. I'm not a child of the 80's and aside from some ultra-cheesy moments (the army guys with 'if I told you I'd have to kill you' on their uniforms thing and the twin 'ghetto' transformers) it's really not that bad.Zac_Dai said:I went to see it knowing the storyline would be crap and all the other shit that I expect from a Michael Bay movie.
But I went to see it for close ups of Megan Foxes ass and giant robots. I could cope with the lame parts of the film.
Only thing that really got to me was the running length and the god awful back from the dead miracle scene of Shias character.
Also the Transformers cartoons were just the usual animated crap from that time, but as kid you think everything is awesome.
Macbeth? No. But I wasn't expecting an extreme reliance on poor humor.Rajin Cajun said:You expected Transformers to be mature? Really? It was a silly 80's cartoon based on toys and you really went expecting Macbeth?
I am just saying I have yet to see any details and I won't trust (or read at this point) a movie critcs review because a movie crtic can't review movies correctly. he go and review a movie like Binjamin Button one day and then Underworld the next, Movies have genres and you can't review all of them under the same system. A movie critc needs to know what to look for in a certin genre of movie and not try to review any other kind of movie. For example if you know what a good romance movie is supposed to be don't be reviewing a horror movie, stick with romace. That is how the system should be. About every crtic who reviewed Transformers 2 was looking for something (although I can't imaagine what) other than what the movie was about and the result is bad reviews and one of the best movies this year, based off of sales mind you.Internet Kraken said:That can be applied to both sides of this issue. i haven't seen the movie, but I'm judging it on the first and what some critics have said. It sounds like it's the same as the first, so I would hate it (though some say it is somehow worse than the first). Plus it has a two and a half hour running time. That's a really long fucking time, and if the movie turns out to be shit then I would have to sit through all of that.
Woah, you really got em' by the short and curly's with this one man... good job!dontworryaboutit said:I enjoyed the movie, but that's not why I'm here.
Stop with the racism card. The twins were robots. One was green and the other was red. Nowhere was it stated that they were black. You're just assuming they were supposed to be because of how they acted and spoke.
Which is racist.
Thank you for telling me how I feel. Much appreciated.James teh OG said:and you wish everyone in the movie and who made the movie dies a slow horrible death.
