An alchemy-based game where the main character, a small child trained in witchery, turns household items into fantastic potions by use of a magic cauldron. These potions can then be used to solve challenges around their town, explore, or just mess around with. This is ENTIRELY inspired by my own childhood passtime of pouring everything under the sink into a huge bottle and then waving it around, pretending I had made deadly cursed super-poison.
Ironically, you just might have. Glad you didn't drink it!
Pfft, how little you know. Why would I drink it myself when my parents had thoughtfully provided me with a little brother to use as a test subject? Fortunately (kinda), I tested it on the front lawn first. Last time I went past, the black spot was still there.

Thus, we need a game where blending drain cleaner, apple juice and a frog gets you something magical and useful.

I want to see a World War I or even a Civil War game. It was a long time ago but I played a game that was modded off another (off the Source engine, maybe) and it was all about the civil war. It was amazing.
The history channel has you covered on the Civil War front

I'd love to see a modern version of Leisure Suit Larry, the game I grew up on. I know, it's cheesy and awful, but "why the heck not?"
There was already a new gen LSL game and they have another coming out

Baaaasically... your game is kings quest 3.

how about a game where you go to repair a communication relay on a mining ship but suddenly find the shit has been overrun with an organism that lethally parasitizes people and turns them into one of a horde of minions! you will have to cut off their limbs with cutting tools!!!!!

but seriously
how about a technical swordfight game for wii.

there was a technical swordfight game-- one hit kills-- for playstation 1. matches were typically nasty, and short, but very elegant.

and a lot of fun.

I'll go on to say, a good game.
Hell yeah that would be a fun game. Shame America cant pull its head out and not stop repeating WW2. I swear ive shot the same Nazis about 8 times in 3 different CoD games or Mohaa versions.

War shooters set in wars that AREN'T WWII.
If they want to start small, they could do a WWII FPS where you do not play US or British forces.

For instance, let me play a trooper in XIX Panzer Corps during the two weeks it took to drive across Luxembourg, Belgium and France to the Channel coast. This is one of the most awesome military operations in history - almost like from a video game.

Here is mine, not very creative, but I thought an easy idea for mirrors edge mulitplayer would be to play tag.(I know sounds dumb right) but I think it would be awesome to have 8 people running around an area from someone who is "it"(that is faster than others) doing all you can to try to stay away ducking, leaping, jumping etc. I think it would have a sense of panic running like mad to avoid being caught. Kind of like infection on halo. Maybe i'm just weird, who knows.
Wow. I had that very same exact idea. That and paintball deathmatch and races. Also, I had an idea for a game called "advent fantasy"(I know, stupid name), but ubisoft must have probed me that night, because they pretty much got it exactly with the new Prince of Persia. Only in my game you would face off against more than one enemy at a time, but after playing pop, 1 v 1 isnt such a bad idea...

I think a great game would be a realistic Zombie Apocolypse simulator.
So on day one of game play there would be maybe just a handful of zombies (still opening cutscene stuff, etc.).
In fact you probably wouldn't even run into them right away. Just hear about them in the news.

I'd think it might be best as a RPG or it probably wouldn't have much depth. At the moment I'm really digging the Fallout 3 system.

So they'd have some sort of formula for how many zombies are made per... how ever much time has passed.
You'd go around basically just trying to survive. Fending off your zombie foes from your hand made fort during the night, and foraging for food during the day (this game would take a lot of pointers from the Zombie Survival guide).

Other than side quests, there would be no real story. Just surviving.

Also it would have a landscape a lot like Fallout 3 (or maybe it could just be Fallout 3... hehe) with a city and then the surrounding landscape.

You can use your imagination to expand from there, but that would be it in a nutshell.
That'd be my prefect game.

It's not a new idea, but a decent Superman game would be nice. I'm talking a game where you get all of the Man of Steel's powers from the get go, completely unrestricted, and an open world to play around in. Like Grand Theft Auto with superpowers and story missions that aren't illegal, in other words.

Call me easily amused, but melting random folks with heat vision just sounds fun.

I would like a game like that but set in 2012. Kind of like "I am Legend" with the new "cure" causing the vampires. Instead of the vampires it's zombies and they start the prophecized armageddon. Levels would be a South American jungle, big NY city, little Texas town, ghost town in Alaska, and a tropical island in the Carribean.

Customizable characters, I hate the L4D stereotypes. L4D like gameplay but more realistic(Condemned:CO). No melee while reloading. No endless supply of ammo at checkpoints. You have to go off the beaten path to find ammo but you could find an underground zombie hoarde or take too long causing an enormous struggle trying to get home. Dead rising like scowering for weapons used if you have no ammo and Condemned gameplay. I would like an original way to end the game. No finding a cure or leaving the area you're in. Something new.

Also jump in gameplay. I love realism and I am waitng for a first person, realistic zombie game.

I'd make a game where you have a gun that shoots black holes and you need to kill aliens.

I want a game where you fight bosses by jumping off walls, bounding into them with Chinese swords and then being able to slash your sword upwards through the enemy's guts hadouken style. I also want said game to have a story where you can kill every NPC and be a massive machine of death, or help everyone and be a flower princess (literally). I also want the NPCs to be HARD TO KILL. I'm tired of fighting enemies that seem to have no problem or greater purpose than falling when I breath on them. I want a game that exudes the ridiculousness of fantasy violence without trying to give it meaning--and if the meaning is there, I want it to be an observation about how ridiculous everything you're doing is. Because, well, it is. I also want the artwork to preferably not suck and the surrounding environment to look like actual people live in it, or lived in it before somebody or something came along and killed everyone mercilessly. A mix of RPG/RTS elements where you can conquer kingdoms or the path of the lone murderer (or even hired mercenary) would be great--though the path of the lone murderer would be more likened to an action-adventure game than an RPG. In said action-adventure game, you survive by defeating other skilled opponents in matches of both fighting prowess, intellect and possibly downright luck.
thats been made and its called fable :p
I realize I'm a little late here, but...

Do you even know what Fable is?

This thread is unoriginal.

But, I have game ideas going all the time, so here's a more recent one.

A game where you have to try to survive train-wrecks. Of course, the in-game train-wrecks would be much slower than in real life train-wrecks, but not slow-mo. They would work like movie train-wrecks. They can look fast-paced, but still take ten minutes to go down completely. I think that would be really cool (especially if the game could take some randomized terrain then logically construct a train path through it), but wouldn't sell at all. Also, you get more points for the number of people you save.

A game with realistic mechanics (die in a couple shots), but whose point is literally to kill everyone you see. The game would (of course, it's my idea) randomly generate a city, put a shit-load of people in it, make some of 'em cops, give some others guns, then put the player in it with a pocket-knife. So you have to go find a person with a gun, or find a gun in someone's home, then take them out with it, then try to take out the entire city using what weapons you can find. Oh yeah, and your score only gets onto the high-score list if you never save your game. It would focus on realistic mechanics, but extremely stylized action components, like exaggeratedly flamboyant explosions, and exaggeratedly flamboyant explosions.

A game where the scene s the African Savannah(or any other cool place like the Everglades or the Rockies...expansion packs?) and you are the animal. Your a member of a lion pack, and you have to live like one. Very audio and visual intensive(Must find a way to implement smell...), did you hear prey over there or was that the wind? If you don't find food you die. You don't find adequate shelter for weather you die. Basically if you don't fulfill your role in the environment you lose/die.

If you do Iran-Iraq you almost have to mention how America sold weapons to both sides of that conflict...No one in America wants to go near Korea or Vietnam because America lost those two wars, and ad for those various African conflicts as far as the western world is concerned those countries don't exist at all. I do think the African conflicts could be very interesting when it comes to a change of pace.
America didn't lose Korea, it was a victory/draw for the UN.
-North Koreans invaded past the 37th parallel (the border between the two nations)
-UN forces drove them back to China (way past the 37th parallel)
-Chinese forces pushed UN forces back
-37th Parallel remains the border even till this day

Therefore victory as we stopped the N Koreans from invading past the 37th parallel or draw as no territory was taken either side and it remained the same as before.

Definitely not a loss
