It's not JUST south park, though i don't doubt it may have made it worse. People use whatever race they can as an insult. A couple decades ago instead of dirty jew people would say dirty ******. Now that's no longer tolerated. In fact I'm probably going to get in shit for just typing the word.
Things are different and because saying the n word gets you a punch in the face people go with dirty jew because your less likely to get your head kicked in. Its now the safe racist term. Most kids who say it i doubt even know what the hell a jew is. Its like how i used to say Gyped as a child not knowing it was a racial slur against Gypsies. Its like the word gay. People use the word gay as a hateful word more often then ginger or jew. Its a safe prejudice and people use it every day.
Honestly, its just what everyone is saying. Most people say it without even understanding what in hell's name they are talking about. Christ i remember asking elementary kids on my bus if they new what gay meant. The answer?

Then again this is the same group of kids who would talk about who has the bigger peepee. They have no idea what the fuck they are talking about. By the time they are old enough to understand it's engraved in there heads.
