Red pants. No you do not look good in them, ever. Now take them off and set them on fire, and wear normal color pants ( which is any other color than red).
A guy I work with has a pair of HOT PINK pants that I've seen him wear. I am dead serious. I saw him wearing them once at the vending machine. It was impossible to miss. They were just so pink. So bright. I couldn't take my eyes off them.

They weren't sweat pants from what I could see. Just normal pants that happened to be pink.

The rap/hip hop craze and how it glorifies the "gangsta" lifestyle. Despite my hopes to the contrary, it's been going strong for over two decades now. Call me crazy, but I don't find urban violence, narcotics and objectifying women to be glamorous. At all.

Meanwhile, disco was dead and buried long before I was even born. There's no justice.
Just wanted to point out there is a veritable wealth of rap/hip-hop that does the exact opposite. In fact, some of it can be incredibly inspiring.

The issue is the popular scene within the genre, which is really an issue with the mentality of the audience.

'Course, this is true of most genres...

The hip/hop phase is dead. All i hear now is a blend of evey genre. Every( in general)song sounds the same. Baggy cloths are gone and replaced with skinny jeans and tight clothes ( on guys). Their pants hang low but it's not due to cloths being to big ( like a decade ago) but on purpose.

We seem to be more in a pop/sexualisation of everything phase, than gangster style.

SKINNY JEANS! Gentlemen...if you want to wear tights than just wear them. It will be a trend if we all start doing it without giving a fuck. My problem with skinny jeans is the fact the lack of pockets. I have never worn skinny jeans but I know bigger-on-the-inside technology isn't a thing (yet). You can not have skinny, form-fitting jeans AND pockets. Pockets are incredibly useful after all but you know what, fine...maybe you don't need them...wear a purse instead. Seriously! Men in China use purse-like handbags, maybe that's what the Skinny Jeans thing is aiming to accomplish: make man-bags a thing!

Region Locking...NINTENDO...Region Locking...Stop it!

This isn't something that needs to stop but something that needs to come back: Modern Military Shooters, Stop antagonising the Middle East, Russia, etc...bring back the notion of another US Civil War! You don't have to fart out a stupid excuse to have a foreign power to invade, you basically already do this when the enemy is a PMC and, you can blow up significant buildings/monuments in the US left, right and, center. I only remember seeing this once on the 360...why not again?

Disco being dead is the height of justice.

the flip top lids are a wonderful invention. so much easier for me with arthiris to open a flip top than attempt to open a screw top
Plus they can be easily done one-handed (awesome if you have a bad hand), and any crap you're getting on the cap can cause the same problems with a screw top.

Maybe people should just keep their toothpaste tubes clean.

To the point that arguing it borders on pedantry.

There were decent singer-songwriters, for example, but I'm glad the movement died.

It's ok, you can still listen to Polka!
?We are not going to die."

Butters stared up at me, pale, his eyes terrified. "We're not?"

No. And do you know why?" He shook his head. "Because Thomas is too pretty to die. And because I'm too stubborn to die." I hauled on the shirt even harder. "And most of all because tomorrow is Oktoberfest, Butters, and polka will never die.?

Another example is back in the 1980s there was an advent of the "flip top" for tubes of tooth paste. The "idea" was it would be more efficient because instead of having to twist a lid 3 or 4 times you just flip the lid and dispense tooth paste. Only problem is that you would not get 1/10th of the way through a tube before the flip top becomes gummed up with toothpaste and eventually gets to the point where you can no longer shut the cap and each time you brush your teeth you are brushing with what ever the half opened lid was exposed to. Yet even today most toothpaste comes with the stupid flip top lids.

Example: the one on the right was notoriously horrible about being gummed up.

Certainly an idea that should not have lingered around for a quarter century.

It solved a problem no one ever asked to be solved and in the process caused its own unsanitary problem.
Learn to toothpaste, noob. It's never been a problem for me.

Joking aside, I have one that I might get a lot of flak for, but I'm still gonna say it: Stick shift cars. All that crap you have to go through to shift gears is such a pain in the ass to worry about while driving, I don't understand why anyone likes them. I get that manual transmissions give the driver more control over traction and stuff, but there are cars that let you shift gears simply by pressing a button without needing to worry about a clutch.

I can see why someone would enjoy manual since it makes you feel more involved in the driving experience, but I agree that paddle shifting sequential gear boxes are much more efficient.

I would have to say digital game stores which require you to top up with a specific amount of money.
This feels like a hold over from when companies like Microsoft and Nintendo thought buying points was a good idea.
An example:
I see a game I'm interested in on Steam that's part of their daily deal for £5, so I buy it, either using wallet funds (thank you completely pointless trading cards) or directly using my credit / bank card.
No BS, no hassle... I get a game, the dev \ publisher gets paid and Valve takes their cut, so everybody wins (well, not the developer as the last game I bought on a Steam deal was Kingdoms of Amalur Complete).

[b/]Contrast that with:[/b]
I see a game I'm interested in on the 3DS eShop that's on sale for £23.99 (such as Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, which was recently on sale).
I have to put £30 into my eShop wallet in order to buy the game, meaning I don't actually save anything unless I buy something like a virtual console game as I can pick up a pre-owned copy for £29.99.

Sony managed to not pull this crap with the PS3, so I see no reason for Nintendo to do it.
I understand allowing parents to load limited amounts of money onto an account without giving little Timmy their credit card details, but they're trying to force it on everyone so that they can rake in more money.
Luckily, GAME sells download codes for eShop games for less than Nintendo does anyway (Animal Crossing is still £34.99 on the eShop, but it's £27 from GAME, same with Bravely Default with is £31 at GAME, but £39.99 from the eShop).
I do normally buy retail boxed versions of console games, but there's something of a 3DS drought at the moment where I live.

I don't even think about what gear I need to be in, everything goes by automation, even in dire situations.

DRM. It does nothing to stop piracy, yet publishers insist on putting it on their products. SecuRom, GameShield, and other forms of DRM... Why won't you DIE?!

GoG sells new games without DRM on them, others ought to as well.

This. So much this.

I'm Canadian, and half of Ubisoft's best output depends on the Tom Clancy's brand, which is just as jingoistic as modern shooters.

Look, I get it. A big share of gamers are American, and stroking their Patriotism Bone sells. Can I please play a modern military shooter that doesn't rely on a laughably implausible situation that feels like John Milius and Tom Clancy had a baby together? South America banding together and striking at the USA?!

Go home, Call of Duty. You're drunk. The Cold War is over. STAHP EET, as Arnold would say. Find some other time period to mess around in or just - die. Either that or just drop your boilerplate Spectacle Shooter crap and just shell out generic map packs until the Earth turns into a dark and dead rock floating in the void of space. Everybody knows you exist solely as a drug that pseudo-competitive players just can't drop.

Online job application that required you to make an account just for them. You have my email, and all my other info because I gave you a job application! What's the point?

League of Legends.

Okay wait, listen where I'm coming from here. League of Legends' basic systems were built with spit and toothpaste and are now held together with half of a dying man's prayers - time between 'major' updates are long as hell whereas games such as Dota 2 get major updates of pve, free skins and user inspired content.

Keep in mind: League of Legends had a user inspired content group (Skincraft and SIU) but they intentionally fixed the system as that people could no longer 'easily' jump in and edit the files to create this content. Also keep in mind that they actually HELPED these players in the past and never 'banned' someone for modifying the basic skin/ui/spell name files since only you could see them.

While that could be forgiven if the game's in-game community was forgiving and welcoming...that's not what the league of legend's community is famous for.

They also keep on falsely announcing new features - or should I say, it wasn't in the cards, too many bugs, etcetc. They can't keep their own lofty goals, farming for ip in the god-awfully rude community is a hellish experience and the past 3 years have had multiple public cheating scandals that they covered up using server wide bans on people who attempted to get the word out (keep in mind, they never specifically said that we COULD NOT talk about people who publicly cheated - people who public put their in-game names out and became representatives of the community. they just started swingin' the ban hammer. I'm well aware of the 'no in-game-name calling' rule, but that doesn't apply when the person in question DID IT LIVE ON STREAM ANYWAY.)

And there's the map issue.

Embarrassingly enough Infinite Crisis even has more maps.

But I figure I should stop there.

US NCSoft AND Sega.

Blade and Soul and PSO2 haven't hit stateside yet and that's a load of pathetic, obnoxious bs considering both companies keep their sites up for the US release. I realize that the time between announcement of possible closed beta and the actual beta can be a long time, but sneakily not reminding people of the dates of the publishing of the news and making it look like someone still gives a fuck (BnS' stateside site hasn't been updated for at least 2 years now and PSO2...HAH) is sneaky bull that needs to stop. Especially now that rumor has it BnS is actually getting an ANIME due to it's popularity and the over 165 chinese servers are packed full to fucking bursting. Either get it stateside or fuck off, please.

And don't tell me 'WELL WILDSTAR-' those were two completely different teams of people working on those projects, not all the same people. This wasn't a battle of manpower. It was making an announcement and not following through.

Note: Blade and Soul is even sitting there on the NCSoft main site staring me in the fact like 'Haha ***** you'll never get to play this.' I am deeply angered.

Social media chain-anything.

I'll half-forgive you if there's an important cause you really care about, so long as you're clear that passing it on is a favor you're asking of people because you think well of them and they might harbor similar sympathies.

Do not ask me to pass something on to ten friends; not treating them like that is how they remain my actual friends. Do not say that responding or passing something on is some sort of litmus test of who "really cares"; the purpose of my existence is not to validate you. If something is purpose-engineered to generate traffic, independent of any sort of actual value to the information being passed, you really ought to know better.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

It's had a good run now guys, but as time passes I see the show getting much, much weaker and the Brony fandom themselves becoming harder and harder to defend, and more and more fractured as time passes - while MLP has very deep divides between the generations, G4 fans have become so fractured it's like a "small scale" microcosm of the bigger issue.

Oh, and for the record - no I don't like Adventure Time. At all.

I'd also add myself to this list, but I don't think that's allowed here.
