Why You Actually Would Want To Go To School?

I guess I kind of went about this the wrong way. I also go to school to learn and get a good job in the future. I just hate all the work that I get.

Doing all the work in school is necessary to get a good education, and to become a productive member of society.
You're most likely going to spend most of your life doing things that you'd rather not, like getting a job and paying taxes, but you still have to.

Schooling prior to College: No reason, 80% of what is taught is absolutely worthless. Such may be equilavent to 90% nowadays.

College/University: No reason, although only because I benefit from a parent who is exceptionally versed in the subject I fancy.

No, because your question is in fact an idiotic one.

Why would anyone want to go to school? To learn so that they can perhaps better themselves or the world around them? Or maybe they just, um I don't know, understand what a privilege being able to learn actually is?

But you seem to not understand that. You take your privilege for granted, and doing so is wrong and diminishes the fact that you actually have the opportunity to learn.


But hey, school's useless and didn't help anyone anyway, so why bother? Ignorance is the reason for most all of our troubles and education is the only cure. Shame it's wasted on those who don't actually want it.

i acually do like going to school. I like seeing all my friends and i acually enjoy my french class very much.

Plus i get to be with my girlfriend, she doesnt have a celular, and her mom is always making her not go on dates for one reason or annother, so i don't get to talk to her much outside of school.

Clearly the words of one who has never worked a day in his life. Just wait till you have to work a full time job for a living. I guarantee you'll miss the days when the biggest problems in your life were trying to make/keep friends, and how you would manage to solve problems 2, 3, 6, 7, 11 and 13 on page 206 in an hour because it's 11:30pm on a Sunday night and you spent the entire weekend playing video games, and you're barley passing math class as it is.

At school you make friends and increase your knowledge, with more knowledge comes enlightenment and more normality in todays society. School also makes your chances of success greater and makes you an addition to society instead of a burdon so in nerd terms if there is a zombie apocolypse the Gov is more likley to save you. The only downside to school is homework but thats not a real problem for all of the benifits it gives you. That sir, is why people want to go to school.
